Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities plans to open a Cinema major

"The school plans to recruit 50 students according to the admission regulations of Hanoi National University, with the same methods as the previous school year," Associate Professor Dr. Bui Thanh Nam, Head of the Training Department, said on the morning of January 18.
According to Mr. Nam, the school opened this major to meet the needs of society and anticipate future career trends. However, the school does not aim to train actors but focuses on scripts and film criticism in a systematic way.

Not in the arts sector, to attract students, Mr. Nam said the school will approach and communicate to students through admissions counseling sessions.
Regarding the general 2024 enrollment plan, a representative of the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities said that it will maintain 5 enrollment methods for 28 majors, with a total enrollment target of about 2,200, 200 more than last year.
Five admission methods include direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; direct admission and priority admission according to regulations of Hanoi National University; consideration of international certificates; capacity assessment test scores of two national universities; 2024 high school graduation exam scores.
In 2023, the admission score to the Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities ranges from 20 to 28.78. Five majors with over 28 points include Public Relations, Journalism, Oriental Studies, Korean Studies and Psychology. The highest score is Public Relations with 28.78 points in block C00 (Literature, History, Geography).
Tuition for the school's standard training programs is up to 12 million VND/year.
