The exchange conference between the Training Department and class representatives, held on January 16th and 19th, 2024, attracted the participation of over 800 students from class representatives, youth union branches, and student associations of classes from the QH-2020-X to QH-2023-X cohorts.
At the conference, the teachers from the Training Department disseminated the content of the training activities for the second semester of the 2023-2024 school year and new guiding documents in training work; they also discussed issues related to foreign language training and foreign language output standards...
Students were guided through online learning in the second semester using the software via their VNU email accounts; issues such as tuition fees, academic scores including exam score announcement times, appeals, instructions on how to cancel courses on the Portal, principles for recognizing academic results and credit transfer. Mr. Pham Van Hue, Deputy Head of the Training Department, emphasized that in addition to fully complying with regulations and training guidelines, students need to pay special attention to academic warnings to ensure their academic progress.

Mr. Nguyen Chung Hieu, M.Sc. - Training Department, provided information on foreign language training and foreign language proficiency requirements.
According to MSc. Pham Van Hue, a key advantage of the training program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, is that VNU-USSH students from their third year onwards can pre-register for some master's degree courses if they achieve a GPA of "Good" and are not currently under academic disciplinary action. This is a great opportunity for students to accumulate credits, save time and costs in their master's program, and enhance their value in finding good jobs. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Vietnam National University, Hanoi, have many special policies for students in basic science fields.
The school plans to consider providing academic support in April 2024 to students with academic results of "Good" or higher in the first semester of the 2023-2024 academic year, with the amount of support based on academic performance.
Furthermore, VNU-USSH students have their academic results recognized within the system of member universities of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and can transfer credits at universities within and some universities outside of Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This is a significant advantage for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, expanding their opportunities to study other majors they are interested in at many universities.
During the discussion session, the students received answers from their teachers to many specific questions directly related to their studies at VNU-USSH.
