The program attracted thousands of 12th-grade students from many high schools in the area. This activity is part of the College Admissions and Career Guidance Program implemented annually by Tuoi Tre Newspaper in coordination with the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education and Training), the General Department of Vocational Education (Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs), and local education departments, with sponsorship from Vingroup Corporation.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, 2024 will be the last year for the high school graduation exam and university entrance exam under the current general education program. From 2025 onwards, the exams will undergo significant changes in content and format. Therefore, early preparation for the exams and strategic planning in choosing majors and universities that match one's interests and strengths will increase the chances of achieving goals this year for students under the current program.
From 7:00 AM onwards, the campuses of Vinh University (Nghe An) and Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa) were already crowded with parents and students. Besides the exchange of ideas from representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training and experts, including lecturers and education administrators from many major universities nationwide, at nearly 50 exhibition booths of participating educational institutions, many teachers were ready to share information and provide direct advice to students visiting and learning about the academic programs for admission in 2024 that they were interested in.

With an 80-year tradition, a leading position nationwide in training in social sciences and humanities, a strong team of highly qualified lecturers, a modern learning environment, and numerous scholarship and study support programs, the academic programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities always attract the attention of a large number of candidates from across the country.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in 2024, the university will maintain five admission methods for 28 academic programs.
Besides boosting investment in basic sciences, such as scholarship programs (50 million VND/year/student) for students in 9 basic science disciplines (including Literature, History, Philosophy, Religious Studies, Political Science, Anthropology, Vietnamese Studies, Linguistics, and Sino-Vietnamese Studies); and research funding (10 million VND/project); the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also focuses on opening modern, applied majors to meet the needs of society and anticipate future career trends. In particular, in 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities plans to enroll students in a new major: Film and Popular Arts.
At the VNU-USSH booth, numerous parents and students asked questions related to the academic programs, scholarships, academic support, and especially career opportunities after graduation.
The delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities included faculty members from the University's Board of Directors and the Training Department, with many years of experience in admissions; lecturers from various faculties/institutes; and outstanding students and student union officials with experiences after the challenging high school graduation exam and their time studying at the university. They shared incredibly useful information and tips on choosing aspirations to achieve the highest success rate with the high school students.
