Nearly 1,000 candidates participated in the first round of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's aptitude test at VNU-USSH.

On March 23-24, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's Examination Center will jointly organize an aptitude test for nearly 1,000 high school students from high schools in Hanoi and neighboring provinces.
To achieve the highest possible score on the exam and avoid regrettable mistakes, the school would like to draw the following attention to the following points:

1. Exam format

The HSA (Higher Skills Assessment Test) consists of three sections: Qualitative Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, and Science, and is conducted entirely on a computer. After the time allotted for each section expires, the computer automatically moves to the next section. Candidates can only go back to correct answers for questions within the same section; once they move to a different section, they cannot return to the previous one.
The results will be displayed directly on the computer screen after the candidate finishes all three parts of the test.
The high school student competency assessment test has a time limit of 195 minutes and includes multiple-choice questions (select answers) and fill-in-the-blank questions in the following fields: Mathematics (50 questions, 75 minutes), Literature - Language (50 questions, 60 minutes), and Natural and Social Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography - 50 questions, 60 minutes).

2. Certificate of Results

Candidates can check their exam results and receive their Certificate of Results 14 days after the exam. The Certificate of Results will be sent via registered mail to the address and phone number associated with the candidate's HSA exam registration account.

According to official information, the results of the aptitude test are used by more than 60 universities nationwide for university admissions. For details, please refer to the relevant section.HERE.
In particular, since 2023, the two National Universities have officiallyRecognizing the equivalence of results from the two competency assessment exams.Therefore, candidates taking the HSA exam at Vietnam National University, Hanoi can convert their scores to apply for admission to universities in the Southern region.

3. Some notes

Candidates taking the High School Student Assessment (HSA) exam must complete the following steps:

* Before entering the exam room:

- Be present at the EXACT exam location and at the EXACT time announced (indicated on the Exam Notification Slip); bring your identification documents including: identity card/citizen identification card (CCCD), Exam Notification Slip (printed from email if desired).
- Present your Citizen Identification Card (if you have lost your Citizen Identification Card/National Identity Card, please inform the reception officer immediately).
- Candidates are only allowed to bring the following into the examination room: Citizen Identification Card (CCCD), Vietnam Geography Atlas published by Vietnam Education Publishing House (without any additional characters); one calculator as per the regulations; pen, ruler, set square, eraser; mechanical watch (without recording, photography, or signal transmission functions). Absolutely no items or documents other than those permitted are allowed, including blank paper.

* In the exam room:

- Sit in the correct seat and carefully read the summary of the exam regulations.
- Receive your exam account form and check your scratch paper.
- Log in to your account and read the on-screen instructions. Carefully check the personal information displayed on the screen (name, registration number). If it is incorrect, report it immediately to the invigilator.
- Do not move around the room or leave the examination room without permission. If necessary, candidates may only leave the examination room with the permission of the invigilator and must be under the supervision of a supervisor.
- Candidates should complete each section (3 sections) sequentially, selecting the answer by clicking the mouse on the empty circle (○). The computer will automatically record and display the answer as a black circle (●). For fill-in-the-blank questions: enter the answer in the blank space as a positive or negative integer (e.g., –1) or a simplified fraction (e.g., -3/4); do not enter units in the answer box. Candidates can only retake questions within the same section.
- During the exam, candidates are strictly prohibited from writing any characters on the Atlas of Vietnamese Geography that they bring into the examination room. Before candidates leave the examination room, the invigilators will check again. If any atlas is found, the candidate will be considered to have violated the examination regulations.
- Strictly adhere to the examination room regulations. If any problems arise during the exam, candidates should immediately inform the invigilator for assistance.

* Upon completion of the exam:

- Once the exam time is over or the candidate submits their paper, the screen will display the EXAM SCORE for 60 seconds.
- Candidates should remember their exam scores; check personal belongings before leaving the examination room. Candidates may only leave the examination room after submitting all received scratch paper, the Account Form, and signing the attendance list; inform the invigilator before leaving the examination room.
Please note: Candidates who violate the regulations and are suspended from the exam will not only have their exam results canceled, but also their registration results and registration records for any sessions they have not yet taken. Furthermore, all relevant parties will be notified by the exam organizing unit regarding the severity of the candidate's violation.
According to the regulations of the National University of Hanoi's Examination Center, in 2024, the High School Student Competency Assessment Exam will be conducted in 6 rounds, with each candidate allowed to participate in a maximum of 2 rounds per year. The minimum interval between two rounds is 28 days (including holidays, weekends), depending on the candidate's preference.

This is the second consecutive year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has directly participated in organizing the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's High School Student Competency Assessment Exam. Preparations have been thorough, urgent, and meticulous. We are ready and warmly welcome all students to Hanoi University of Social Sciences and Humanities to participate in the first HSA exam. The HSA exam rooms at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities exam site are located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the BC connecting building (take the second turn left from the school gate).
