This is the content discussed at the seminar Building a Master's training program in Public Administration and Global Management chaired by the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, held on the afternoon of March 22, 2024.
The seminar attracted the participation of nearly 30 scientists and experts from functional departments/offices of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities such as Political Science, Management Science, Training Department; management agencies and academies (Ethnic Committee, National Academy of Public Administration, Central Propaganda Department, Institute of Political Science, Institute of Leadership and Public Policy).
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu - Head of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU chaired the discussion.
According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu - Head of the Faculty of Political Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, the Master's program in Public and International Administration was included in the planning of the industry and majors for the period 2021-2025 by Vietnam National University, Hanoi and was built by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with the general goal of training high-quality human resources at the master's level, with in-depth, broad, advanced and internationally integrated practical and theoretical knowledge, mastering the systems, contents, processes and methods in the field of public and global management. After graduation, students are equipped with modern management skills, culture and management ethics to meet the requirements of national administrative reform and building a socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam, contributing to building a modern, effective and efficient national governance and realizing the goal of a rich people, strong country, democratic, equitable and civilized society.
Graduates of the Master of Public and Global Management can undertake management, research and teaching jobs related to public and global management.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNUAssoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that the Master of Public Administration and Global Management training program has the advantage of being built by the Faculty of Political Science in collaboration with Pondicherry University (India) and receiving professional support from a number of professors such as: Prof.Dr. Detlef Briesen - Gisen University, Federal Republic of Germany; Prof.Dr. NKKumaresan Raja - Pondicherry University, India, etc. This is a favorable factor to attract students to participate in the study. This training program also contributes to diversifying the training programs of VNU-USSH, so the school leaders fully support the opening of a new training code.
The seminar attracted the participation of many scientists from academies and management agencies.
At the seminar, scientists and managers discussed to complete the training program framework and output standards to meet the needs of learners and the needs of society in this field of study.
The draft Master's Program in Public Administration and Global Management will continue to be completed by scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU before being put into enrollment.
