This event kicks off a series of key academic activities, bringing together scientists, experts, managers, businesses, and a large number of faculty and students from within and outside the university.
Taking place over a week, the program includes numerous workshops and seminars on topics such as: heritage and development, cinema and popular arts, economics and innovation, digital capabilities and artificial intelligence, globalization and integration, AI in social sciences and humanities… thereby contributing to spreading the spirit of research, innovation, and academic networking.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) delivered a speech at the event.
In her opening remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), stated that the university has built a highly qualified and experienced team of scientific staff, with over 82% holding doctoral degrees and more than 25% being professors and associate professors. Many strong research groups at the national and university levels have been formed, gradually building a deep academic community with the capacity for international integration.
Currently, the university is leading 5 national-level research projects, 9 Nafosted-funded projects, 18 national-level projects, 48 institutional projects, and 5 international projects with a total budget of nearly 60 billion VND, an increase of approximately 24% compared to the same period last year. By 2025, the number of international publications from the university is expected to increase by 41% compared to the previous year.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized that the highlight of this year's Week is the Exhibition of Scientific and Technological Achievements and Innovation 2026, showcasing typical research results and many collaborative products between the university and technology companies in the fields of digital transformation, digital heritage, and interactive experiences.
According to the organizers, this is the first time the school has also organized an exhibition of 26 student scientific research projects that won first prize at the school level, which are expected to participate in competitions at the Hanoi National University and the Ministry of Education and Training levels. The activity aims to encourage students to participate in scientific research from an early age, linking research with practice and innovation.

International students were delighted with the 2026 Science, Technology and Innovation Achievements Exhibition of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi).
Dr. Vu Thanh Mai – Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department – emphasized that social sciences and humanities not only help to gain a deeper understanding of people, history, culture, and society, but also directly participate in solving many major practical problems of the country such as: perfecting institutions, developing high-quality human resources, building Vietnamese culture and people, social governance, media management, and protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.
In the context of digital transformation, the rapid development of artificial intelligence and digital media, Dr. Vu Thanh Mai believes that social sciences and humanities play a crucial role in predicting trends, guiding ideology, strengthening social trust, and building a healthy cultural environment. This field also contributes to the formation of independent thinking, critical thinking, and a humanistic spirit for modern society.

Highly appreciating the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), Dr. Vu Thanh Mai stated that the university has affirmed its role as a leading and prestigious training and research center in the country in the field of social sciences and humanities; making many contributions to basic research, applied research, policy consulting, and social critique.
Many of the university's research projects have contributed to the analysis of issues related to national development, preservation and promotion of national cultural values, development of journalism and media, social governance, digital transformation in the socio-cultural field, as well as research on new issues related to cyberspace, data, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Vu Thanh Mai also suggested that the university continue to innovate its research and training thinking in an interdisciplinary direction; promote digital transformation in university management and scientific research; develop strong research groups and strengthen connections between social sciences and humanities with science and technology, data, and modern management to meet the requirements of national development in the new era.
