Speaking at the Opening Ceremony, Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong, on behalf of the School's Board of Directors, congratulated 376 students and 125 postgraduate students who had overcome many applications to officially be admitted in the two 2022 postgraduate entrance exams of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Among the students and postgraduates attending the Opening Ceremony today, there were many who were once students of the school, many of whom, although living and working in remote areas hundreds of kilometers away from Hanoi, but with love, trust, and attachment, they continued to choose the Hanoi University of Humanities as a companion, a place to satisfy their passion for conquering the pinnacle of knowledge and scientific research. The School's Board of Directors and teachers in the faculties/departments committed to always accompany and provide maximum support so that all students and postgraduate students can best complete their learning tasks, receive Master's and Doctoral degrees on time and with the highest quality.

On behalf of the students and postgraduates attending the Opening Ceremony of the 2022-2023 academic year, PhD student Nguyen Phuc Nguyen (Religious Studies major) expressed his joy and pride to be one of the successful candidates and officially become a PhD student of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. We know that in recent years, VNU and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have had many breakthrough innovations in graduate admissions, many open policies creating conditions for candidates to be admitted directly to higher levels of training, and at the same time, there are solutions to support students and PhD students in publication to ensure output standards. With the support of the University, the dedicated guidance, encouragement and motivation of teachers, although the following study period will have many difficulties and challenges, we are confident that we will grow not only in knowledge but also in spirit and thinking.

2022 is the first year that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will implement graduate admissions through the form of examination and interview. Accordingly, the school will recruit students through the form of evaluating documents and interviewing candidates for all 44 master's training majors, replacing the traditional exam content, candidates must write essays on 2 basic and fundamental subjects, each subject 180 minutes as before.
The interview content more directly and accurately assesses the candidate's suitability and ability to respond to the training program.
The interview process will evaluate candidates more comprehensively in terms of knowledge, communication skills, thinking and learning motivation, in addition to the scores shown in the application.
At the same time, the Admissions Council, through interviews, also understands the thoughts, aspirations and study, research and development plans of each candidate in order to better accompany and support students in their future studies at the school if the students meet the admission requirements. |
