In the context of a rapidly developing digital economy and artificial intelligence affecting all areas of socio-economic life, the need for information and data management of each individual, organization and enterprise is more urgent than ever. Whoever owns data and information has a superior competitive advantage. This poses a challenge for universities in training human resources in information management to meet the needs of society.

According to the World Bank, we are entering a digital economy in which data, information and knowledge are used as a resource for economic and social development. The Asia Economic Cooperation Forum - APEC affirms: the process of producing, distributing and using knowledge and information becomes the main driving force for growth, for the process of creating wealth and jobs in all economic sectors. It can be seen that information plays an important role in the digital economy. It is a fact that, in the process of digital transformation, in current organizations and businesses, data and information about customers, products, partners, competitors, finance, human resources... are not yet organized in the best way; regular data collection has not been done. Therefore, training a team of professional and quality information administrators is very necessary in the current context.
Information management is an interdisciplinary science of organizing and exploiting information and data, including: collecting information, processing information, organizing information, analyzing, evaluating and distributing information to users to achieve the highest efficiency, meaning providing information that meets the right needs, to the right people, at the right time and at the right price.
The information management industry trains high-quality human resources in the field of information management to serve economic development in the context of digital transformation. Specifically, it trains information experts with logical and systematic thinking, capable of strategic planning in information management for businesses, organizations or government agencies; thereby turning information into an important resource for development as well as creating competitive advantages. Information experts have the ability to advise on building information systems; know how to collect, evaluate, classify and process, synthesize and analyze, distribute and manage information; and advise on the effective exploitation and use of information. In short, the program aims to train information experts in the digital age. Imagine this in the context of information explosion, Google can provide you with 1000 results, but information experts only give you one correct answer.

What is the most difficult and at the same time vital requirement for humans in modern life, to the point that if we do not complete it as soon as possible, we may be eliminated from this world? It is making timely and accurate decisions. We have to make decisions not only in our personal lives but also as managers, politicians, businessmen and employees.

Nowadays, decision making is difficult because its raw material - information - is exploding in large quantities. Every individual, organization, agency, and enterprise needs a special capacity: information management capacity, to be able to search, collect, organize, process, and use information, to effectively serve decisions in management, recruitment, investment, product development, or public relations...
