This morning, July 20, 2024, the "Choosing college and university admission wishes in 2024" Festival at Hanoi University of Science and Technology attracted the participation of thousands of candidates and parents from many high schools in the Northern region at a time when there are only 10 days left to close the admission registration period. The festival was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs in coordination with Tuoi Tre Newspaper with the participation of colleges and universities.
At the program, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training and representatives of universities in different majors and professional fields directly advised candidates on points to note in the admission process and directly answered questions from candidates and parents. In addition, candidates and parents can also search and refer to admission information at more than 150 consulting booths of universities and colleges. This is an opportunity for candidates and parents to have diverse information about training majors as well as training characteristics of schools; find out more specific information related to each major such as study programs, tuition fees, scholarships, dormitory conditions, job opportunities, etc. Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy - Director of the Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education & Training) said: "On the first day of the Ministry of Education & Training's system opening, more than 600,000 wishes were registered on the system, showing that candidates have clearly understood their needs and abilities in terms of the profession and training school they desire. However, there are still 10 more days for candidates to carefully consider, choose and arrange their wishes."
The Director of the Department of Higher Education also noted: When registering for admission on the system of the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates only need to choose the major and training program of the school, not the admission method or admission combination. This helps them avoid mistakes in choosing the combination and admission method. The system will arrange and select the best data that they provide to consider the highest possible admission, to ensure the rights of candidates.
In addition, when registering for admission, candidates need to follow the entire process from start to finish (both when registering and adjusting admission wishes, if any). This is to ensure that the system records their registration data. "You should only adjust your admission wishes when there is a mistake in the arrangement, not in accordance with the priority order you intended. At the same time, carefully review the conditions and information about priority areas and priority subjects (if any) to edit and complete. Along with that, candidates need to keep their account to access the system confidential, because if it is revealed, others may adjust and change their admission wishes" - Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thu Thuy emphasized.
According to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, from July 18 to 5:00 p.m. on July 30, candidates can register, adjust, and supplement their admission wishes an unlimited number of times. All candidates' admission wishes are processed on the system and each candidate will only be admitted to the highest wish among the registered wishes when ensuring that they meet the admission conditions. Candidates who have completed the application to universities according to the early admission plan, if they meet the admission conditions, must continue to register their admission wishes on the system to be considered for admission according to regulations.
