The specialized school for Social Sciences and Humanities increases its enrollment quota for 10th grade.

For its third year of enrollment, the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced the recruitment of 75 students for the Literature specialized class, an increase of 15 compared to last year; and 35 students for each of the History, Geography, and high-quality program classes, an increase of 5 for each class.

To be eligible to take the exam, candidates must have a GPA of "good" or higher for all school years and have graduated from junior high school. Registration is open from April 1st to April 15th. Applications can be submitted directly to the school or sent via express mail.

The school held its entrance exam on May 29th, becoming the earliest specialized high school in Hanoi to hold its 10th-grade entrance exam. Candidates took four written exams: Literature, Mathematics, English, and a specialized subject. The exam questions were essay-based for Literature and the specialized subject, and multiple-choice for Mathematics and English.

Candidates will only be included in the admissions list if they have taken all four exams, have not violated any regulations, and have achieved a score of 4 or higher in each subject, with a score of 6 or higher in the specialized subject. The admission score is the sum of the scores of all subjects on a 10-point scale, with the specialized subject score multiplied by a factor of two. The school does not add priority points in the admissions process and does not offer direct admission.

The results of the entrance exams for specialized classes will be announced before 5 PM on June 10th.

Withhigh quality classThe school will select candidates who did not pass the specialized program entrance exam, have a score of 4 or higher in each subject, and have applied for admission to the high-quality class. The school will calculate the total score of the three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English for admission consideration.

Currently, the school has not announced the registration period for admission to the high-quality program or the time when the results will be available.

The High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities was established in October 2019, located at 336 Nguyen Trai Street (Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi). It is the fourth high school under the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and is a public educational institution managed by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.

Last year, the entrance exam scores for the specialized Literature class at the school were 36, History was 30, and Geography was 31.
