Change towards creativity and innovation to develop the SchoolIn his opening speech at the Opening Ceremony, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan shared that just one month after 1,600 new bachelors received their degrees and graduated, the school was delighted to welcome 2,018 new students of Course 68. This is the first year that the enrollment target for full-time university students has reached 2,000 students/year; and the total number of students at all levels (bachelor, master, doctoral and international exchange) at VNU-USSH has reached 10,000 people. This is an impressive number in the school's development history.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan shared with the teachers about facing a volatile and rapidly changing world; about a domestic and foreign higher education system that is also changing every day. That change has created a new “position” and “force” for social sciences and humanities, but also poses enormous challenges, even harsh ones; if each higher education institution does not change itself to adapt, it will be difficult to survive, let alone develop.

Good news for teachers and students of VNU-USSH at the Opening Ceremony
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan shared the joy with all the distinguished guests, staff and lecturers of the school when the teachers and students of the school entered the new school year with much joy about the results achieved in the past school year. That is the stability and the atmosphere of solidarity spread; the organizational structure was synchronously consolidated; the staff continued to develop; enrollment of all systems met and exceeded the target, in which international enrollment was especially expanded.
Most undergraduate training programs have been quality-assessed to move towards new development strategies; postgraduate programs continue to be adjusted in the direction of both integration and new construction to adapt to human resource needs and development trends of science domestically and internationally.
