Film and Popular Arts Program: Many promising opportunities to attract students with passion for the field.

This was the opinion of scientists and lecturers at the Workshop on Film and Popular Arts Training Programs organized by the Faculty of Literature, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) on September 29, 2023.
The workshop was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Xuan Thach - Head of the Faculty of Literature, Dr. Nguyen Thi Nam Hoang - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Ngoc Thanh, former Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film, Ms. Dang Thu Ha - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Cinematic Arts, Hanoi University of Theatre and Film, screenwriter Trinh Dan Phuong, screenwriter Trinh Khanh Ha, along with lecturers from the Department of Art Studies, Faculty of Literature, and students.

At the workshop, scientists exchanged many important ideas to improve the training program in Film and Popular Arts, ensuring that the program can be implemented soon.
Highly appreciating the feasibility of the Film and Popular Arts training program, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Ngoc Thanh, former Rector of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Theatre and Film, said that the program will help students open up more career opportunities after graduation such as directing, screenwriting, etc. The training program should also strengthen the number of highly applied courses to equip students with skills.

From a professional screenwriting perspective, screenwriters Trinh Dan Phuong and Trinh Khanh Ha expressed their support and belief that the curriculum will attract many students who choose and are passionate about this field of study.
Based on her experience training at the Hanoi University of Theatre and Film, Ms. Dang Thu Ha, Deputy Head of the Department of Cinematic Arts, stated that the Cinema and Popular Arts program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has great potential in training, building upon the university's strengths.
 
 
 
 
 
 
The workshop attracted the attention and contributions of many scientists and lecturers from within and outside VNU-USSH.
The Film and Popular Arts program is designed to train graduates for research/practical work in film, popular arts, cultural industries, and related fields. The program aims to equip students with a system of professional knowledge and skills, as well as supplementary professional skills related to film and the arts.
The workshop took place in a lively atmosphere with many valuable contributions. It is hoped that with the guidance of scientists and lecturers from within and outside VNU-USSH, the Film and Popular Arts program will soon be finalized and launched, training a generation of high-quality graduates to meet the increasingly demanding needs of the labor market and society.
