VNU-USSH: Diversifying practical and effective cooperation activities.

Welcoming the delegation, on behalf of Guangxi University were Professor Xiao Jian Zhuang, Vice President of Guangxi University, along with representatives from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, the School of Journalism and Communication, the Marxist Academy, the International Academy, the Foreign Language Academy, and others.
Professor Xiao Jian Zhuang expressed his delight at welcoming the delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and emphasized that Guangxi and Vietnam share many similarities in geography, culture, and increasingly convenient transportation. He also expressed his hope that the two universities could strengthen cooperation and academic exchange in the future.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong congratulated Guangxi University on its outstanding achievements after 95 years of establishment and development. She also shared the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in recent years, proposed and discussed cooperation in training, scientific research, faculty and student exchange, sharing of learning resources, finding and granting scholarships for students and trainees of both universities, and expanding opportunities for collaborative development.
Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong and Professor Xiao Jian Zhuang, representing the leadership of the two universities, unanimously signed an Academic Exchange Cooperation Agreement with the following contents: Agreement to exchange students and trainees; sending specialists and administrative staff to partner universities for professional exchange; agreement to exchange academic research materials, educational and training resources, and jointly publish research publications; joint participation in research cooperation activities, joint organization of international scientific forums and conferences, and joint registration of scientific research projects; and joint implementation of cultural activities and short-term academic exchanges.
Each year, Guangxi University will send dozens of Vietnamese language students to study at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for one academic year, while also strengthening student exchange programs through short-term summer courses organized by the two universities. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to accept postgraduate students from Guangxi University and send lecturers specializing in Vietnamese language to teach at Guangxi University. The two universities will seek collaborative research projects, jointly organize seminars, and invite partner universities to participate in international conferences organized by both universities.
Besides strengthening cooperation in the field of Vietnamese language teaching and research, the two universities will promote the teaching and research of Chinese studies, research the development of a 2+2 training program in Journalism and Communication, and jointly organize research programs on Marxist philosophy.
Guangxi University, founded in 1928, is one of China's top 100 key public universities under Project 211 and the oldest and largest university in Guangxi Province. Located on a campus spanning over 310 hectares, Guangxi University boasts a massive library with a total collection of over 7.5 million books. The university offers 58 doctoral programs, 211 master's programs, and 98 undergraduate programs.
Guangxi University has been accepting international students since the early 1960s, and currently welcomes over 2,000 international students annually. Guangxi University is committed to facilitating access to and application opportunities for students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for Chinese Government Scholarships, Confucius Institute Scholarships, and Guangxi Government Scholarships for international students from ASEAN countries studying at Guangxi University.
