On the side of E Hospital, there were Dr. Nguyen Cong Huu (Party Secretary, Director of E Hospital), MSc. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huong (Deputy Head of Planning and Synthesis Department), Dr. Nguyen Tran Thuy (Director of Training and Directing Center), Dr. Nguyen Huu Chien (Head of Mental Health Department), MSc. Do Thi Ngoc (Deputy Head of Training Department of Training and Directing Center), MSc. Luu Hoang Linh (Deputy Head of Social Work Department).
In his opening speech, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong thanked E Hospital for its help and support to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the past time, especially in creating conditions for staff, lecturers and students of the school to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 on schedule. Today's signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding is an important milestone, creating a legal basis for long-term and effective cooperation between the two sides in the coming time. Vice President Dao Thanh Truong also shared: “In recent times, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has actively expanded the signing of cooperation documents with many universities and organizations at home and abroad. Because feedback from businesses, agencies, and units that employ students of the school after graduation is an extremely important source of information for the school to adjust and improve the quality of training programs. In my opinion, the room for cooperation between the two units is very large: in terms of training, E Hospital will support students of our majors in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology to practice, practice and possibly find jobs after graduation; in terms of scientific research: the two sides can combine to organize seminars on psychology, mental health, psychological therapy for patients, etc.; accompany to continue organizing community service activities as the two sides have recently implemented.
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Nguyen Cong Huu shared: First of all, I would like to thank the Board of Directors as well as the staff and lecturers of the School of Social Sciences and Humanities for trusting and choosing E Hospital as the unit to provide medical services for the staff and lecturers of the school; in the past, the two sides have had quite successful cooperation. However, the official signing of the cooperation document today has a very special meaning. Because in recent years, E Hospital has developed into a complete general hospital, having cooperative relationships with many hospitals and medical organizations at home and abroad, but mainly in the specialized fields of medical examination and treatment, medicine and pharmacy. Cooperating with a leading training and research unit in the country in social sciences, including Psychology and Sociology, is a very new strategy of the Hospital's Board of Directors. We are ready to accept students of the school for internships and practical training at the departments of the hospital, so that they have the opportunity to practice the knowledge they have learned at school, as well as find suitable job opportunities after graduation. In addition, the participation of students, teachers, and leading research experts of the school is also an opportunity for doctors and staff at the hospital to improve their academic qualifications and conduct in-depth research in the fields of clinical psychology and mental health. In particular, in the treatment and care of mental health for patients, the participation of psychologists and sociologists is one of the important factors, helping the recovery process of patients progress faster, with very positive results.
MSc. Luong Ngoc Vinh (Deputy Head of Cooperation and Development Department) presented the content of the Memorandum of Understanding that had been discussed and agreed upon by both sides. The delegates attending the meeting highly appreciated the significance of the signing ceremony of the cooperation document today, agreed with the draft contents and emphasized that this would be a very important legal basis, helping to increase the resources of the two units. At the same time, the delegates also exchanged and contributed more opinions on specific activities that the two sides could cooperate to implement in the coming time: supporting the development of communication work, promoting images and brands; organizing seminars and talk shows by E Hospital doctors to exchange with students and school staff on health care, nutrition, early warning of serious illness signs; registering scientific research topics at all levels, etc.
Concluding the meeting, on behalf of the school's Board of Directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong once again expressed his deep gratitude for the attention that the Board of Directors of E Hospital has given to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. After this signing ceremony, the two sides will plan to immediately implement specific cooperation activities and projects. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities will assign and send focal points, including heads of departments and faculties, to contact the Hospital in the process of planning and implementing different areas of work. We hope that, on the basis of today's cooperation agreement, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and E Hospital will have more effective cooperation activities to increase the resources of the two units and bring more values to the community and society.
The signing ceremony of the cooperation document was a great success. The two sides presented commemorative medals, meaningful gifts and took souvenir photos with the delegates attending.
On the occasion of the signing of the cooperation document, the delegation of E Hospital visited the Traditional Room and the Anthropology Museum of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities located right on the campus of the university. The delegation expressed their joy at cooperating with a training unit with a long history and a leading position in the country in the fields of social sciences and humanities. At the same time, they highly appreciated the value of the collected artifacts as well as the scientific and methodical display and preservation work; contributing to deeply demonstrating the philosophy of "Cherishing the past, holding the future" of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
