Reception of the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam

In his welcome speech, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his gratitude for the attention and support of the Ambassador and the Bulgarian Embassy in Vietnam for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH). Through the connecting role of the Embassy, ​​in recent years, many exchange and cooperation activities in training, scientific research, and cultural exchange between the University and Bulgarian higher education institutions have been carried out smoothly and successfully: projects to compile teaching materials, exchange lecturers, and exchange students (currently, the University is receiving 3 students under the Government Agreement of Bulgaria to study).

The Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam, on behalf of the Embassy, ​​congratulated the achievements of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, becoming a leading training center for social sciences and humanities in Vietnam. In her speech, Ambassador Marinela Ketkova also pledged that the Embassy will continue to act as a connecting point to further promote cooperation between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and universities in Bulgaria, invite Vietnamese professors to teach topics on Vietnamese studies in Bulgaria, and will connect and send Bulgarian professors to teach, research and exchange cooperation in Vietnam. These activities will contribute to strengthening the friendly relationship between the two countries of Vietnam and Bulgaria.

Regarding the Project of compiling and publishing the Vietnamese - Bulgarian Dictionary, according to the funding agreement signed between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria (authorized through the Embassy of Bulgaria in Vietnam) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the project implementation period is from May 2020 to May 2022. However, to improve the quality of this publication, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has requested the Embassy to sign an appendix to extend the implementation period until the end of September 2022. The Ambassador also once again affirmed the importance of this Project: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria is very confident in choosing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to carry out this project. Up to now, this is the only Vietnamese - Bulgarian Dictionary compiled and published in Vietnam.

Concluding the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan sincerely thanked the Embassy for its favor and support. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is honored to be selected by the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through the connecting role of the Bulgarian Embassy, ​​as the unit implementing this Project. Therefore, the University is committed to seriously implementing and completing the work on schedule (September 2022) with the highest quality. On behalf of the University's Board of Directors, President Hoang Anh Tuan hopes that in the coming time, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to receive the attention and support of the Ambassador and the Embassy so that the cooperative relationship between the University and cultural and educational organizations and universities of Bulgaria will become increasingly deeper and more effective.
