Within the framework of the Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition 2023, on October 13, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), along with several other Vietnamese universities, signed a memorandum of understanding with universities in Taiwan (China) on cooperation in training, scientific research, and student and faculty exchange.
Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a memorandum of cooperation with 16 universities in Taiwan.
The Taiwanese universities participating in the signing include: Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology, Lung Hwa University of Science and Technology, Deh Yu College of Nursing and Health, Yu Da University of Science and Technology, Nan Hua University, Hung Kwok-Dak Lam University of Science and Technology, Nan Kai University of Science and Technology, Kenh Hsing University of Science and Technology, National Tung Hwa University, Chih Kuo University of Technology, Taipei City University, Chihlee University of Science and Technology, Tung Hoi University, Asia University, Yuan Pei Medical University, and Chinese Culture University.
At the signing ceremony, the universities found common ground in encouraging academic exchange and cooperation, promoting the development of intercultural education in universities. Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi, and universities in Taiwan will implement activities such as faculty and research staff exchanges, administrative and other professional staff exchanges, student exchanges, short-term training courses, and scientific research projects.
The signing of the memorandum of agreement promises to open up many opportunities for comprehensive cooperation between VNU-USSH and universities in Taiwan in particular and universities around the world in general, aiming to realize the vision of being among the top 100 universities in Asia and the top 500 universities in the world by 2035.
