Within the framework of the 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition, on October 13, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and a number of Vietnamese universities signed a memorandum of understanding with universities in Taiwan (China) on cooperation in training, scientific research, student and lecturer exchange.
Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and Thanh Hoa University of Culture, Sports and Tourism signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation with 16 universities in Taiwan.
The Taiwanese universities that signed the agreement include: Ming Hsin University of Science and Technology, Lung Hwa University of Science and Technology, Deh Yu College of Nursing and Health, Yuda University of Science and Technology, Nanhua University, Hong Guo Delin University of Science and Technology, Nankai University of Science and Technology, Jianheng University of Science and Technology, National Dong Hwa University, Jianguo University of Technology, Taipei City University, Chihlee University of Science and Technology, Tunghai University, Asia University, Yuanpei University of Medical Technology, Chinese Culture University.
At the signing ceremony, the universities found a common voice in encouraging academic exchanges and cooperation, promoting the development of intercultural education in universities. Specifically, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and universities in Taiwan will carry out activities of exchanging teaching and research staff, exchanging administrative and other professional personnel, exchanging students, implementing short-term training courses, scientific research projects, etc.
The signing of the memorandum of understanding promises to open up many opportunities for comprehensive cooperation between VNU-USSH and universities in Taiwan in particular and universities around the world in general, aiming to realize the vision of being ranked in the top 100 universities in Asia and the top 500 universities in the world by 2035.
