At the workshop, scientists discussed the role of salt in human health; the contributions of the salt industry to economic development; and lessons learned from other countries in salt production and business. In addition, sharing from leaders of various departments and tourism businesses provided fresh insights into health tourism based on organic salt products from Thai Binh province.

At the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa presented a paper on "Developing Health Tourism - International Experiences and Lessons for Vietnam". The paper analyzed health tourism models around the world, offering lessons and suggestions for Vietnam in its development strategy, particularly highlighting the necessary and sufficient conditions for developing this type of tourism in Thai Binh province.
Within the framework of the workshop's discussion session, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa was also invited to speak and contribute ideas on the development of ecotourism and resort tourism based on organic salt products in Thai Binh province. Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa pointed out the following areas that Thai Binh province needs to pay attention to: Infrastructure serving tourism, especially health tourism; Developing distinctive health tourism products with the core product being visiting and experiencing the salt cultivation process; Focusing on training high-quality tourism human resources; Strengthening promotion and advertising to position the destination's image; Building linkages with travel businesses to promote the implementation of health tourism products and services; and Developing and promulgating a legal framework for businesses to invest in this type of product.

Also at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa signed an official cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Binh province. This established a cooperative relationship between the University and Thai Binh province regarding: research collaboration, training of tourism human resources for the province's tourism workforce; internships and practical training in tourism; and organizing seminars and research workshops on related fields. This activity not only enhances the reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi in the field of tourism training nationwide but also provides Thai Binh province with the opportunity to train a tourism workforce in a systematic, high-quality manner.
