Recently, the Philosophy Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities collaborated with a Chinese partner to organize a three-month course (October 28, 2019 - January 28, 2020) on Marxism for nine Chinese students. The Chinese students studied the fundamental theories of Marxism and learned from the university's teaching experiences and methods for this subject. In addition to classroom lectures, they participated in field trips to historical sites and scenic spots to learn about Vietnam and its people. Lecturers from the Philosophy Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were responsible for teaching throughout the course.

During the reception, Associate Professor Hoang Anh Tuan and Professor Zheng Linghui both highly appreciated the joint course co-organized by the two sides. They also discussed potential new collaborations in areas such as: expanding the joint Master's program in Marxist theoretical research; conducting student exchanges in programs permitted by both governments; co-organizing international scientific conferences on Marxist theoretical research; and establishing a unit to manage cooperation and exchange activities, called the Center for Cooperation and Development of the Marxist Academy, between the two universities.
