The workshop was chaired by: Dr. Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House; and Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Attending the workshop were Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Tuan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Minh Son, Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication; leaders of several central and local departments, ministries, and agencies; leaders of units under the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; the Board of Directors, Editorial Board - Publishing, leaders and editors of units under the National Political Publishing House; and a large number of scientists, experts, and managers.

The national scientific conference "New Points in the Documents of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam: Thinking, Vision, and Development Orientation of the Country," held in the context of the entire Party, people, and army actively implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, received great attention from numerous scientists, experts, managers, localities, and international organizations, with over 100 papers submitted to the conference. Many papers demonstrated meticulous, serious, dedicated, and responsible investment in the orientations of national development, especially the new points mentioned in the documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Dr. Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, delivered the opening remarks at the workshop.

In her opening remarks at the seminar, Dr. Dinh Thi Mai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, affirmed that the seminar was of paramount importance both theoretically and practically. With the goal of further clarifying the outstanding new points in the Party's 14th National Congress documents; analyzing the theoretical and practical basis and scientific arguments of the major policies and orientations in all areas of activity, from politics and economics to cultural, social, and human development, education and training, science and technology, Party building, and the political system mentioned in the documents, Dr. Dinh Thi Mai emphasized that the seminar contributes to raising awareness in research and study, and to ensuring unity in the understanding and implementation of the 14th National Congress Resolution in the future.

The conference serves as a scientific forum for leaders, managers, experts, and scientists to exchange, discuss, and contribute ideas to further refine theoretical understanding of the country's development path; clarify the opportunities and challenges posed in the new development era - the era of Vietnam's national progress; and propose solutions and recommendations to effectively implement the major viewpoints, goals, and orientations set forth by the 14th National Congress.

Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, delivered the opening remarks at the seminar.

In his opening remarks at the seminar, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam, Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, affirmed that the history of over 96 years of Vietnam's revolutionary leadership shows that every step of the country's development is closely linked to the development of the Party's theoretical thinking. The documents of the 14th National Congress not only inherit and develop the Party's theoretical thinking through previous terms, but also demonstrate new developments in strategic understanding of the national development model, the path to socialism in Vietnam, and the methods of mobilizing, allocating, and utilizing resources for development.

According to Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam, the highlight of the 14th National Congress Document is the increasingly clear emergence of a constructive, innovative, and breakthrough development mindset, from unlocking and maximizing all national resources, identifying science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the main path, to expanding new development spaces such as the digital space, the innovation space, the maritime space, regional linkages, and international integration. In particular, the 14th National Congress Document shows a significant step forward in thinking about development institutions, a long-term strategic vision for building an independent and self-reliant economy linked to deep international integration; developing the private sector as the most important driving force of the national economy; building a modern national governance system; and promoting the strength of Vietnamese culture and people as an important endogenous resource for national development.

Associate Professor Dr. Vu Trong Lam emphasized that the new points in the Document of the 14th National Congress not only have the significance of supplementing and perfecting the theoretical aspects, but also reflect a strong shift in the Party's development thinking in response to the demands of the new development stage. They also create a political, theoretical, and practical basis for realizing the goal of making Vietnam a high-income developed country by 2045. Therefore, studying, identifying, and deeply interpreting the new points in the Document of the 14th National Congress is of particular importance both theoretically and practically; contributing to clarifying the scientific basis of strategic decisions, and creating unity in understanding and action in the process of successfully implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

Professor Dr. Le Van Loi, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, presented a paper on the topic: "Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation in the Digital Age as Required by the 14th National Congress."

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Viet Thao, former Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, presented a paper on the topic: "Vietnam's Strategic Autonomy in the Era of National Emergence."

Professor Tran Tho Dat, former Rector of the National Economics University, presented a paper on the topic: "From 'proactive participation' to 'breakthrough development': The development of the Party's thinking on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation."

Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Tai, former Deputy Director of the Political Academy, Ministry of National Defense, presented a paper on the topic: "New Points in the Party's Thinking on National and Global Governance in the New Era - Theoretical and Practical Value".

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Cuong, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, presented a paper on the topic: "Strategic Autonomy in the 14th National Congress - National Development Capacity in the Context of Great Power Competition".

Dr. Pham Quynh Chinh, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, presented a paper on the topic: "The shift in thinking about cultural development towards cultural industry in the documents of the 14th Party Congress."

Within the framework of the Conference, a lively discussion took place with the participation of scientists, experts, and managers. The exchange of ideas focused on clarifying the new points in the Party's 14th Congress Document on many aspects, from the model of high-quality growth and truly sustainable development; science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; strategic autonomy; modern national governance; sustainable social development management; to the development of new economic spaces, regional linkages, ensuring development security, and promoting the strength of Vietnamese culture and people in the new era.

Experts and scientists participated in discussions at the conference, clarifying new points in the documents of the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The delegates affirmed that the documents of the 14th National Congress demonstrated a new development in the Party's strategic thinking, reflecting a shift from adaptive thinking to development-oriented thinking; from leveraging traditional driving forces to strongly unleashing new ones; and from extensive development to development based on knowledge, science, technology, innovation, and high-quality human resources. Delegates also proposed numerous solutions to concretize the viewpoints, goals, and major orientations of the 14th National Congress into development programs, plans, and policies suitable to the requirements of the new period.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered the concluding remarks at the conference.

In his concluding remarks at the seminar, Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, emphasized that the presentations and discussions at the seminar contributed to clarifying the theoretical and practical values ​​of the documents of the 14th Party Congress, and provided many important scientific arguments to serve the research, dissemination, understanding, and implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan outlined five major directions that need continued attention and research in the coming period. He emphasized that, in the spirit of the Party's 14th National Congress documents, basic science research and social sciences and humanities research are not merely academic activities, but also a political responsibility of the intellectual community, contributing to clarifying and developing the Party's ideological foundation to steadfastly pursue the goal of national independence linked with socialism. The documents identified science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the central driving force of the new growth model, in which research in social sciences and humanities plays a strategic guiding role, providing scientific arguments for formulating development policies and guidelines. Beyond serving domestic development, in-depth research in social sciences and humanities also helps enhance national soft power, disseminate Vietnamese culture and values ​​internationally, and elevate the country's position on the international stage in the era of deep integration.

The results achieved at the Conference will be a valuable reference for all levels and sectors in the process of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Congress, contributing to bringing the Party's policies and guidelines into life and realizing the aspiration to lead Vietnam into a new era of development.
