With the aim of making AI a tool to support learning, research, innovation, and productivity enhancement for everyone, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has introduced a trio of open publications on AI for students, faculty, and the learning community. These books not only provide foundational knowledge and application skills in AI, but also strongly emphasize ethical values, transparency, accountability, and the central role of humans in the digital age.

This book series was developed within the framework of a collaboration between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Meta Corporation, with the participation of many experts in the fields of AI, education, and social sciences.
The book "Artificial Intelligence Competency Framework for Students" builds a comprehensive AI competency system for learners, encompassing AI understanding, critical thinking, ethics and responsibility, AI applications for careers, and AI system development. The book emphasizes the goal of using AI effectively while ensuring humanistic principles, transparency, and sustainability. It serves as a foundation for developing training programs and courses that enhance students' AI competencies.

The book "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Learning and Career" focuses on guiding the practical application of AI in learning, research, data analysis, digital content creation, career development, and entrepreneurship. The book also equips students with prompting skills, critical thinking, and principles for the responsible use of AI in academic and digital environments.

Meanwhile, “Breakthroughs in Teaching and Research with Artificial Intelligence” targets faculty and researchers, providing methods for applying GenAI in course design, student assessment, research idea development, document analysis, and digital learning materials creation. The book also devotes significant space to discussing the limitations of AI, academic ethics, privacy, and the responsibilities of educators in the AI age.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, the Rector of the university, stated that the widespread sharing of AI resources through an open-access model not only serves students within the university but also aims to reach the wider community, contributing to bridging the digital divide, promoting digital capabilities, and building a culture of responsible AI use in Vietnam. Currently, the university has developed an AI course in MOOC format for students throughout the university. It is expected that in the near future, after evaluating its effectiveness and making necessary adjustments, the course will be shared free of charge for wider use by educational institutions and the community.
Through training activities, workshops, open educational resources, and this AI book series, the school hopes to contribute to the formation of a new generation of digital citizens – those who can master technology, critically analyze AI, innovate with AI, and use AI for the sustainable development of society.
