The workshop is within the framework of the research project KX.02.29/21-25 under the National Special Science and Technology Program 2021 - 2025 "Research, application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh's thought in the cause of national construction and defense of the Fatherland in the period of renovation (from 1986 to present, orientation to 2030 and vision to 2045), attracting the participation of many prestigious scientists.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU; Project Manager said that research on Ho Chi Minh studies has become a key issue in social sciences and humanities research. However, research has not yet fully reflected the inherent value of Ho Chi Minh's thought, in which research on Ho Chi Minh's thought in the development of science and technology, innovation and creativity still has much room. The workshop received 40 reports from scientists from universities, research institutes, central and local agencies, aiming to contribute to filling the gaps in research on Ho Chi Minh's thought in this field.
Also according to Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh, the project KX.02.29/21-25 under the National Special Science and Technology Program 2021 - 2025 has completed more than 60 topics, organized more than 100 different seminars and workshops, had 02 reports recommending meetings with the ideas in a number of draft documents of the Party on science and technology development, responding to the consistent instructions of the Party on the application and creative development of Ho Chi Minh Thought in science and technology development, innovation.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, presented a paper on "The role of scientific journals in the development of science and technology and innovation in Vietnam"
Dr. Mac Quoc Anh - Vice President and General Secretary of the Hanoi Association of Small and Medium Enterprises presented a paper on the development of science and technology and innovation in Vietnamese enterprises today: current situation, experience and solutions.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Quoc Thang - Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment emphasized the need to connect 3 groups: scientists - policy makers - entrepreneurs to develop science and technology in the current context.
Summing up the workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Viet Thong - former General Secretary of the Central Theoretical Council assessed that the presentations at the workshop were elaborately presented, contributing many scientific values to the topic KX.02.29/21-25, focusing on solving 06 major issues. Those are the issues of the current new context in the revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus, the revolution of applying science and technology in national development; analyzing the factors affecting the research and application of Ho Chi Minh's thought in the development of science and technology, innovation; new and urgent requirements in the new period. The presentations also proposed new viewpoints on the documents of the Party and the State; put forward comprehensive and breakthrough solutions in applying and implementing the major policies of the Party and the State in the new context. The reports at the workshop made valuable recommendations, contributing to the drafting of documents and solving practical problems in the application, development of science and technology, and innovation.
The opinions discussed at the workshop will be incorporated into the research results of the project KX.02.29/21-25. The Project Management Board expressed its hope to continue to receive effective cooperation from scientists, organizations and businesses in the process of implementing the project.

Dr. Lai Thi Thanh Binh - Head of the Department of Basic Knowledge, University of Theatre and Cinema presented the Proposal on continuing to research, apply and creatively develop Ho Chi Minh's thoughts in developing science and technology, innovation, until 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Associate Professor, Dr. Do Huong Lan - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented a report on the development of science, technology and innovation in universities in Vietnam today according to TTHCM
Dr. Dao Minh Quan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Information and Library, University of Social Sciences and Humanities presented a paper on orientations for solutions to continue applying and creatively developing Ho Chi Minh's ideology in creating models of science and technology development, innovation, by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Mr. Bui Manh Toan - Hanoi Association of SMEs discussed the difficulties, challenges and opportunities of enterprises in applying science and technology.
