PV: Political and ideological work, guiding the moral life of union members in university lecture halls is a difficult task, not all schools can do it well. So what are the fundamental solutions for the school's union to achieve the above results?

Comrade Tran Bach Hieu:In its development orientation, the School Youth Union always identifies political and ideological education and moral and lifestyle orientation for union members and students as one of the key activities, not only at the present time, but throughout each school year.

Combining practical experience gained over the years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Youth Union has made adjustments and changes in its activities to ensure the transmission of political and ideological content, while ensuring closeness and practicality to union members, finding solutions to erase the feeling of imposition from top to bottom, so that union members can approach political and ideological content in a natural and familiar way.

Identify the team of Youth Union and Association officials (from the School Youth Union Executive Committee level to the inter-branch, branch, and association levels) as the core in listening, sharing, and exchanging information. When understanding your thoughts, these members are the best and most effective ambassadors of the School Youth Union in each class you attend.

Grasping the thoughts of such small public opinion groups is also the basis for the School Youth Union to propose appropriate measures, conveying them to students in a way that is truly attractive, comfortable and natural.

In addition, the School Youth Union always cleverly integrates the contents of "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example", directives and resolutions of the Party, the Youth Union, or propaganda contents into common activities, or even classroom contents, as well as collective activities. These contents aim to arouse active love for the country, love for the nation, pride in the country, the capital and the school one is attending.

PV: The result of a collective is the result of the joint efforts of individuals. Can you share more about the results that the youth unions and clubs in the school have achieved in the recent past?

Comrade Tran Bach Hieu:In terms of quantity, in less than a year, the number of clubs in the school has increased to 14 (6 new clubs were established). The clubs, when established, all went into operation very quickly and achieved very typical results such as: Media Club, Cultural - Historical Propaganda Club, Vovinam Nhan Van Club, Bollywood Dance Club, Humanities Blood Donation Student Team, SEG Event Organizing Student Club...

Regarding volunteer work for the clubs of the youth of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in the whole VNU-Hanoi in particular and in the youth of the capital city in general, all have achieved high efficiency. In the past time, the Youth Union branches have been the proactive units in building volunteer plans, the University Youth Union is responsible for reviewing and supporting the plans of the units. This contributes to promoting the strength of each Youth Union branch and club, especially the expertise of the units and organizations.

Volunteer activities are no longer limited to the general activities of a team in Humanities, but are a diverse and multi-form activity of faculties and clubs, moving towards professionalism, truly convincing with the image of student union members doing volunteer work in the community and creating sympathy for the community.

In addition to volunteer activities, the volunteer activities of the school's youth have also achieved great results, having a strong influence on society. Clubs with outstanding activities in recent times include the Stone Flower Club, the Student Social Work Team, the Psychology Department, the Information - Library Department, the Archives Department and the Office Administration Department... with very effective winter warming trips to the northern mountainous provinces, leaving good impressions on the community...

PV: Inheriting the achievements that have been made and promoting collective strength in the coming time, what specific plans does the Youth Union have for the coming time?

Comrade Tran Bach Hieu:2015 is a year with many major commemorative events of the whole country, of the capital and especially of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Right in the first month of 2015, the Standing Committee of the University Youth Union has identified its key plans for the coming time. In addition to regular activities in its field of activities, the University Youth Union also aims to celebrate major holidays of the school, the capital and the country in each field of work from political and ideological content to professional content of scientific research, supporting the comprehensive development of union members and students, promoting cultural and sports content, volunteer activities and social work.

The content of Party development or foreign affairs activities both have specific activities, focusing on school pride, enhancing the image of the school's youth, and spreading the image of the school's youth to the community.
