
This book, "Print Journalism from the Perspective of Journalism Economics in the Context of Innovation and International Integration," focuses on establishing a fundamental and systematic framework of media economics theories currently prevalent worldwide. It surveys, analyzes, and evaluates the current state of the main economic activities of Vietnamese print journalism in recent years, while also systematizing these activities from a journalistic economics perspective. It systematizes the views and orientations of the Party and the laws of the State regarding the economic activities of journalism and media in the period of innovation and international integration. It explores key experiences of global media economics for reference and appropriate application to the specific conditions of Vietnamese journalism and media, including print journalism. Chapter I: Overview of the Economic Theory of Journalism and Media. In this chapter, the authors focus on an overview of the economic theories of journalism and media; analyzing the various forms of media market structures, their relationships, costs, and production processes; identifying and analyzing the target audience of the media market, the public, the consumer base, the influencing socio-cultural factors; and competition in the media market.
Chapter II: Overview of the Newspaper and Media Industry. This chapter provides an overview of the formation and development of the newspaper and media industry worldwide. It examines the economic activities of print media in several advanced countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Japan, India, and China.
Chapter III: The Party's Guidelines and the State's Laws on Economic Activities in the Press and Media of Vietnam. In this chapter, the authors present the Party's views on the economics of the press and media in the context of new requirements; the State's laws and policy mechanisms for economic activities in the press and media of Vietnam; and the relationship between the Party's views and guidelines and the State's laws on the economics of the press and media.
Chapter IV: Economic Activities in the Print Media Sector. This chapter provides specific forms of economic activity in print media such as advertising, distribution, company models, event organization, business, joint ventures, services, etc. It also includes a general assessment of the economic activities of print media.
Chapter V: Enhancing the Economic Efficiency of Vietnamese Print Journalism. This chapter presents some experiences from foreign media economics for reference and application to Vietnamese print journalism. It also includes some scientific proposals and recommendations, as well as solutions for developing the print media market.
