Dear teachers and colleagues!
The task of nurturing talent has always been difficult, and today it is even more challenging, especially at Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The profession itself is inherently difficult because the subjects it interacts with, guides, and shapes are human beings. The difficulty of teaching today lies in the increasingly high demands, ambitious goals, growing pressure, a different student body than before, and the growing influence of external factors on students.
Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) identifies the discovery and nurturing of talent, and the training of high-quality human resources, as its central focus and mission. This requires administrators, faculty, and support staff to possess high professional skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the enthusiasm appropriate to the environment of talent development. As a leading university in the country, striving to be among the best in the world, VNU naturally needs educators of national and international stature, with leading scientific expertise, exemplary methods, and the necessary talent and virtue to guide and nurture talent, and the excellence to train even more outstanding individuals for the present and the future.
The faculty at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) are educators in a talent-building environment, educators at an internationally renowned school, an academic environment that constantly demands creativity and continuous development. Amidst the general difficulties of the profession, VNU educators face even more stringent challenges and requirements. Accordingly, VNU does not accept mediocre or mediocre individuals who merely do their jobs to get them done; there is no place for conservatism, indifference, irresponsibility, or a lack of professionalism. Teaching is a profession, a calling, and the teaching profession at VNU is a great calling that each and every individual should dedicate themselves to and strive for.

By pursuing ambitious goals and meeting high standards, we will grow taller, more substantial, and more exemplary. The demands are high, the challenges numerous, but these are also opportunities for educators to mature quickly and powerfully. A university focused on training talented individuals and high-quality human resources doesn't need to do anything extraordinary. What is decisive is that the teachers there must be excellent, even exceptionally excellent, in their field and possess the heart of a true educator. Truly talented individuals often have a strong capacity for self-learning and self-improvement. What they need is an environment, respect, nurturing, encouragement, guidance, and direction. In a talent-training environment, if each individual and each even the most ordinary step is done well and professionally, we can support the development of these budding talents.
The teaching profession is glorious, and being a teacher at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) means pursuing great goals and fulfilling high national and social responsibilities, making it even more glorious. The teaching profession has many unique joys. VNU teachers aim to train talented individuals, conduct research to create new knowledge, pursue inventions and discoveries, uncover things no one has ever seen, point out things no one has ever thought of... This certainly brings great joy. There is the usual joy of teaching, the joy of scientific creativity, and the joy of fulfilling a national mission and social responsibility. All of these combine to create immense joy. VNU teachers, as the intellectual force of the country, need to...Worry first, then enjoy life later."(Ancient saying). The joy gained is certainly greater because it resonates with the joy of society and of generations of students; it is deeper because of the profound depth of intellect and science."
