Returning to school after a long period of online learning, especially for first-year students who are attending classes for the first time, a sense of bewilderment and nervousness is evident on their faces.

Not only were the students excited, but the lecturers also had many emotions about returning to the familiar classroom.

“My heart swells with joy seeing this scene again! I hope it will always last like this. In the morning, dressed neatly, I rush to school, my heart racing like on my first day, to witness the bustling schoolyard, just as I've witnessed it for almost 20 years, to hear the electric bell ring twice before each class. The side gate is noisy and lively again. The parking lot is packed with cars, even though it's hard work and crowded, it's fun. I've had enough of the quiet days already!” – Dr. Phan Van Kien – Deputy Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication Training shared on social media.

Previously, on February 9, 2022, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) issued a notice stating that all students and trainees would return to in-person classes from February 14, 2022, and that 100% attendance would be achieved by February 28, 2022. According to Dr. Nguyen Huu Hung, a representative of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control Task Force at VNU Hospital, based on Directive No. 01/CT-TTg dated February 8, 2022, of the Prime Minister and Official Letter No. 283/BGDĐT-GDTC dated January 24, 2022, of the Minister of Education and Training, bringing students back to in-person classes at this time is necessary and must be implemented quickly for all levels of education, especially university level.
