According to information from Venerable Thich Giac Giao, due to his past life as a former student and currently a graduate student of the Department of Religious Studies of the University, he is always very interested in volunteer activities, accompanying the University to support students in difficult circumstances. During this visit to the school, in addition to the artifacts, which are essential goods (rice, instant noodles, cooking oil, etc.) participating in the Zero-dong Supermarket of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities sent to students affected by COVID 19, Kim Nguu Pagoda also has scholarships (expected 31 scholarships per year for students of the University) and tuition sponsorship for students in difficult circumstances at the Department of Religious Studies.
Associate Professor, Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh, on behalf of the School Board, expressed his thanks to the personal attention of Venerable Thich Giac Giao and businesses that have accompanied and shared difficulties with students in their studies as well as in life. Associate Professor Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh shared: “In the past two years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has organized many activities: vaccinating students; supporting accommodation; giving gifts and necessities to students in the F1 and F0 categories; organizing a 0-dong supermarket for students;... The COVID epidemic has had a very severe impact, businesses and organizations have encountered great difficulties, but they still join hands to support the University's volunteer activities, and there are also scholarships to encourage students, which are extremely noble gestures. All gifts, artifacts, and scholarships from Venerable Thich Giac Giao and other donors will be delivered to students in the most solemn and warm manner by the University. Hopefully, in the coming time, the University will continue to receive the support of Venerable Thich Giac Giac, the Executive Board of Kim Nguu Pagoda as well as businesses in other activities”.
