The Board of Directors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities presented flowers to the students participating in the National High School Graduation Examination.
To achieve 4 national awards out of a total of 6 participating students, besides the dedicated guidance of the teachers, it was also the students' own efforts to overcome their own limitations. Student Nguyen Ngoc Linh (second prize winner in the National Excellent Student Competition in Literature) shared:“In the early days, when I learned that I had been selected as one of the two members representing the school in the national excellent student team, I felt really happy and surprised. But at the same time, I also felt pressured and worried about the preparation period. Because this is the first year the school is participating in this competition, I understand that I need to be responsible in the school's first participation.”"

In addition, when talking about the pressure of participating in the national excellent student team, Nguyen Phuong Uyen (second prize winner in the national excellent student competition in Literature) shared:I find the pressure in a major competition unavoidable, stemming from the expectations of the school, my family, and the large amount of knowledge I need to prepare. However, I don't let that pressure cause me stress or anxiety by creating a relaxed and comfortable mindset and studying effectively. Turning pressure into motivation is my secret. Furthermore, whenever I feel pressured, I remember the advice from the Principal, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu, to view the exam as an opportunity to grow, to win, and to surpass myself."

As an outstanding student of the K1 History Specialized Class, Le Hoai Nam has proven his talent by winning second prize in the recent national history competition for gifted students. Sharing his thoughts about the teachers at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities, Nam confided:Teachers play an extremely important role in the exam preparation process, always caring about the students' meals and sleep throughout the exam preparation period. I remember those late-night study sessions, eating meals with the teachers before continuing to study. Preparing for the exam gave me immense motivation to achieve my goals. Despite the disadvantages of having a relatively short study time, being only in 11th grade this year and having to compete with 12th-grade students, I always told myself that I needed to overcome my own limitations."
The impressive achievements of the students at the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities are largely due to the contributions of the school's teachers, with their extensive experience, passion for their profession, dedication to their students, and especially the teachers who directly guided and prepared the students for this exam. Teacher Pham Hai Linh from the Literature Department of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities shared:The results of this first attempt have made the teachers and the school very proud of the students. Thank you for helping to make our dreams come true. As for the students in the next cohort, I hope that together we will ignite the flame of passion and uphold the traditions of the Faculty of Literature - General Studies - Humanities, writing more golden pages in the history of the Specialized School of Social Sciences and Humanities, because you are the chosen ones, the deserving ones."

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu – the school's principal – expressed his joy and pride in the two cohorts of students currently studying at the school, especially those in the gifted student teams for Literature, History, and Geography. The 2021-2022 academic year took place in a special context due to the complex developments of the Covid-19 pandemic; however, through the efforts of teachers and students in striving for excellence in teaching and learning, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has gradually affirmed its position as the only specialized school in social sciences and humanities in the country. The school's students are always well-rounded, and the school selected the most outstanding students to participate in the teams. Not letting down their teachers and families, these students have overcome their own limitations to prove themselves and continue writing glorious chapters in the history of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities.
