The Gala Night was honored to have the participation and inspiration of Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Principal of the University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal), Secretary of the Youth Union, President of the Student Association of Hanoi National University, along with teachers and leaders of departments/centers under the Rectorate, and training units. In particular, the event attracted the attention and participation of thousands of students from all Institutes/Faculties/Departments in the University, including more than 2,000 new students of K68.
The gala night is part of a series of opening events to welcome the new school year organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the School, with the desire to bring the warmest and most intimate "greeting" to all new students, helping them quickly get acquainted with the modern and dynamic Humanities environment, ready to demonstrate their talents and abilities,
The program is also an opportunity to connect students of all courses, enhance the solidarity of members in each unit, enrich the spiritual and cultural life, and contribute to building a common home of Humanities that is constantly developing.
Principal Hoang Anh Tuan shared: “This is truly a very meaningful festival for students in general and new students in particular. With the talents of Humanities students, with their careful preparation, I am sure that tonight you will burn with all your passion and will bring wonderful performances. I also hope that you will continue to promote that enthusiasm and spirit in your studies and in the movement activities of the School's Youth. The eye-catching performances of students from 10 training units left the judges, teachers, and thousands of participants in the Gala night amazed and amazed by the talent, creativity and enthusiasm of the Humanities students.

With the combination of the two singers' professional voices and vibrant dances, the Mashup performance "Just a Glimpse and Let's Swing" by the Institute of Journalism and Communication made a strong impression on the judges and the audience.
The performance "My Vietnam" by the Faculty of Psychology concluded a magnificent, brilliant, quiet and humanistic Gala night. Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong shared: I have been with the students for many years, following many activities and witnessing their growth. But in tonight's Gala, you really overwhelmed me, because you are so excellent, so talented. The performances not only demonstrate your abilities in performing arts, staging, and scriptwriting, but they are also imbued with humanity, carrying a profound message about love and responsibility of youth towards the country and the community. I hope that you will always keep this flame of passion and youthful enthusiasm throughout your time studying here as well as after you graduate, and that this flame will spread strongly to the new students of K68.
10 performances from 10 units with very unique colors, showing the strengths of each unit. It is the result of elaborate preparation, very serious practice over a long period of time and attracting the participation of a large number of students in the faculty, creating cohesion, sharing, and companionship among students of all courses.
MC Xuan Quynh (Vietnam Television VTV) expressed her admiration for the excellent performances of the students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: "Having accompanied you in a number of events, I am always extremely surprised by the students of Hanoi Humanities. During the Gala tonight, when the music started, I felt like I was watching professional singers, dancers, actors living their passion to the fullest. Not only the form of performance, but each performance of each team tells a separate story, showing their understanding, love, and pride in the school and the field of study they are pursuing; at the same time, spreading many meaningful messages. That demonstrates the intelligence, talent, and unique identity of the students of Humanities".
At the end of the Gala night, the Jury awarded:
First prize for
performance "Invite me back to the village"of the Faculty of Anthropology.
Second Prize: Faculty of History and Faculty of Sociology.
Third Prize: High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities; Faculty of Tourism Studies; Faculty of Oriental Studies.
In addition, the Jury also awarded 5 other prizes: Trend Award: Institute of Journalism and Communication; Impressive Award: Faculty of International Studies; Style Award: Faculty of Management Science; Spread Award: Faculty of Psychology; Cheering Award: Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
The gala night is not only a competition, but above all, it is a festival for all students to have the opportunity to show their talents and passion for art. The event brought unforgettable memories to all students, not only the quality of the performances but also the enthusiastic cheering atmosphere of the fans; especially for the new students of K68 about a traditional, academic Humanities but also extremely modern, youthful and integrated. The event also concluded a complete Opening Ceremony full of joy and happiness. At the same time, it brought teachers and students a lot of excitement to enter the 2023-2024 school year with many new joys and successes.
