20 VNU-USSH students received 1% scholarships from the AEON Club Fund in 2023.

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Matsuki Tasuku - Counselor of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, Ms. Kurosu Mihoko - Deputy Head of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Hanoi Representative Office, Mr. Mori Yoshiki - President of the AEON 1% Club Foundation; representatives from the leadership of the three universities whose students received scholarships in 2023, delegates from AEON Group companies in Vietnam, and all 60 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), Foreign Trade University, Hanoi, and the Vietnam Academy of Agriculture.
 

Speaking at the scholarship awarding ceremony, Mr. Honda Yosei (General Secretary of AEON 1% Club) and Mr. Matsuki Tasuku both emphasized the significance of this activity, especially in the series of events commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan.

Mr. Matsuki Tasuku, Counselor of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam, conveyed the congratulations of the Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam to all the scholarship recipients.

Mr. Honda Yosei further shared that the AEON 1% Club Foundation currently carries out projects and activities supporting scholarships for students from 7 Asian countries. The goal of the scholarship is to support students in their studies, scientific research, and international exchange. The Foundation representative also congratulated the students who have achieved outstanding results and received this scholarship. He hoped they would continue to strive to achieve their dreams and foster friendship and deeper understanding between Vietnam and Japan.
Representing the leadership of the three universities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, expressed her deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude to the AEON 1% Club Foundation for its companionship and scholarship support for Vietnamese students in general and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular. For the past 17 years, the AEON 1% Club Foundation has empowered many Asian students, bringing them closer to their aspirations. This scholarship awarding ceremony is especially significant as Vietnam and Japan celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
To date, the school has awarded scholarships to 117 students. This support has helped many students realize their dreams and return to serve the community, affirming the practical significance of the AEON 1% Club Fund.

Twenty students from the university received the AEON Club Fund 1% scholarship in 2023. They were carefully selected from various training units. These students, in their third and fourth years, not only had excellent academic results but also demonstrated outstanding achievements in participating in student union activities, volunteer work, and academic exchanges both domestically and internationally, particularly in promoting academic and cultural exchange between students from Vietnam and Japan.

Representing the 20 VNU-USSH students who received scholarships in 2023, Le Minh Trang (a Tourism Studies student) shared: "I am truly honored to be one of the scholarship recipients and even more fortunate to be standing here sharing my dream. As a high school student, I always cherished the wish to showcase the beauty of Vietnam, adorned with its abundant natural resources and diverse culture, to friends around the world, while also helping local people who are still facing many challenges. This led me to pursue a major in Hotel Management at the Faculty of Tourism, University of Social Sciences and Humanities."

Throughout my journey to fulfill my dream, I have received support and companionship from my family, school, and various organizations and businesses. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the AEON 1% Club Fund for their continuous support, helping us to ignite the flame of our dreams."
