The top-scoring student in the History department at USSH fell in love with history after hearing stories from his grandfather during the war.

I'm not sure if this is a secret, but I usually keep a clear distinction between studying and playing. I study hard and play hard too. Once I've decided what I want to do, I put more than 100% of my focus into it and try my best to complete it perfectly. When studying, once I sit down, I only focus on the knowledge in the textbooks. Conversely, I also play hard because you need to balance work and rest. The more intense your studying, the more fun you should have!
Strive every day to become your parents' pride.
In life, everyone inevitably faces difficulties. Each person's difficulties may differ, but they are all obstacles on our path. For me, the biggest challenge I've encountered is probably confronting invisible pressures and accepting a path I've never taken before. My family is a typical working-class family. Unlike many other parents who are well-educated and well-traveled, my parents are simply civil servants working for a government agency. Therefore, from a young age, they instilled in me the hope and expectation that I would receive a good education and have a stable job so I wouldn't have to struggle like them. I grew up with those hopes, so sometimes those hopes turned into pressure. There were times when I felt helpless because I wasn't capable enough to study, couldn't understand the lectures, and I thought about my family's expectations. I even cried because of that. However, after I realized that those expectations were a motivation, an invaluable source of emotional support that my family gave me, I felt much more at ease. Although no one in my family has ever walked this path of learning before, I will be the pioneer, the one to lead the way, so that the hopes my parents have placed in me will not be in vain.
The young man is passionate about volunteering and community work.
I absolutely love volunteer work and community service. Since I was little, I often went to temples with my mother and witnessed many difficult situations. There were orphaned children or those with illnesses, which deeply moved me. Perhaps that's why my mother and I often organize gift-giving and charity events, such as distributing porridge at E Hospital or giving gifts at the hospital where my mother works. In addition, my middle school classmates and I visited a school for children with disabilities, and I was amazed to see that despite their congenital disabilities, these children still had faith and hope for the future. Some were incredibly talented, such as drawing, playing musical instruments, and singing. I also have some personal activities such as giving lectures to students preparing for entrance exams in Hanoi, and especially to young people who are passionate about history and want to pursue this subject. I have supported and accompanied many young people in conquering it through the "High school help kit" project. For now, I will try to enjoy and excel in my university studies, and I want to participate in as many student union and association activities as possible, especially volunteer work. Other plans include pursuing scientific research that I'm passionate about and now have the opportunity to realize, as well as traveling and participating in international programs. There's a long road ahead, and I want to try it all.
