Friday - October 24, 2025 04:06
The performance was performed by Japanese artists right on the campus of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi on October 23, 2025.
Within the framework of a series of activities celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Oriental Studies (1995-2025), the Japanese Calligraphy Art Performance program by artist Miyata Tenpuh - founder of the Bokuan Calligraphy class system and his colleagues took place in a solemn and emotional atmosphere.
At the beginning of the program, four artists performed Calligraphy on four small pieces of paper with four verses from the song “Sakura, sakura” - a familiar Japanese children's song:
“Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, from far away to the deep mountains, to the village,
Is that mist or clouds? They shine in the morning light.
Cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms, are blooming…”

The most special part of the program was when artist Miyata Tenpuh performed a Calligraphy work on a large piece of paper, with a congratulatory message to the Faculty of Oriental Studies on the occasion of its 30th anniversary, accompanied by the word 「和」 (Harmony) - a symbol of the spirit of harmony, understanding and connection - the values that the Faculty of Oriental Studies has always aimed for throughout its journey of the past three decades.
We would like to thank artist Miyata Tenpuh for bringing an inspiring afternoon of art. Thank you to the teachers and students who contributed to creating memorable moments in the familiar space of Humanities.
