VNU-USSH students shine with their humanities knowledge in the field of science and technology.

The student team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, excellently won First Prize at the "Vietnamese Youth with Scientific and Technological Knowledge" competition, held on May 15, 2025, at the Information and Statistics Department - Ministry of Science and Technology.
The team from the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, participated in the "Vietnamese Youth with Scientific and Technological Knowledge" competition in 2025.
The competition is a highlight within the framework of the Vietnam Science and Technology Book Exhibition 2025, celebrating Vietnam Science and Technology Day on May 18th. The event attracted 8 teams from 7 universities and 1 high school in Hanoi, with the goal of spreading a love of science and promoting innovation among young people.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the team of students from the Faculty of Information and Library Science made a strong impression with their "Inspirational Story" performance, honoring young scientist Dr. Nguyen Van Son, a lecturer at the University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi. The story not only celebrated an exemplary scientific role model but also demonstrated the team's profound humanistic perspective on the ideal of serving the community through knowledge.
According to the rules, each team had 7 minutes to present and 5 minutes for Q&A, focusing on criteria such as inspiring content, practicality and creativity, scientific thinking, presentation skills, and social impact. The team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities completely convinced the judging panel with their coherent presentation, genuine emotions, and impressive teamwork.
From their roles as learners of knowledge organization and scientific communication, the participants demonstrated their ability to connect the research community and the public. The competition was not simply about storytelling, but about inspiring a journey of bringing science from the laboratory into real life through a relatable and humanistic lens.
This victory is a well-deserved reward for the students' creative efforts and reflects the school's sound training orientation: promoting interdisciplinary approaches and integrating social sciences and humanities with technology in the context of digital transformation.
The competition was an opportunity to honor young people who value knowledge, are socially responsible, and spread science with heart. The team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities truly shone with their academic prowess, humanistic thinking, and deep commitment to integration. The story of Dr. Nguyen Van Son not only inspires young people but also affirms that Vietnamese science can absolutely reach the world stage if guided by passion, courage, and belief.
The competition has ended, but the journey of spreading knowledge by these young students continues – quietly, persistently, and with hope.
