The scholarship awarding ceremony was attended by representatives from the functional departments of Hanoi National University, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and representatives of the family of Mrs. Phan Thi Khoa.
The scholarship fund is named after Mrs. Phan Thi Khoa and her husband, Mr. Nguyen Khac Thao. During their lifetime, Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Khac Thao always believed that "Talented people are the lifeblood of the nation" and cared deeply about the education of the younger generation. After their death, his wife, along with their children and grandchildren, realized his wish by establishing the Vietnam National University, Hanoi's Young Talent Support Fund, abbreviated as the KT Fund, with the aim of providing financial support to the university's young talents.
Since the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) first awarded the KT scholarship to students in April 1999, a total of over 1,000 outstanding VNU students have received this scholarship. These are students from disadvantaged backgrounds who have strived to overcome difficulties and achieve excellent academic and personal development results. The KT scholarship has truly become a source of encouragement and a solid "support system" for talented VNU students on their academic and career paths.
At the 2025 scholarship awarding ceremony, the Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hua Thanh Hoa, affirmed in her speech that the leadership of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, always highly appreciates the significance and value of the KT Scholarship, as well as many other scholarship sources implemented in recent years. These scholarships are not only valuable support and encouragement for individual students, helping them overcome difficulties in life, but also demonstrate a profound humanitarian spirit in assisting the younger generation, contributing to improving the quality of training and scientific research at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Secretary of the Youth Union of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Hua Thanh Hoa, delivered a speech at the scholarship awarding ceremony.
Representatives from Vietnam National University, Hanoi presented a commemorative gift as a token of gratitude to the family of Mrs. Phan Thi Khoa and representatives of the KT Fund. Representing the family of the late Mrs. Phan Thi Khoa, Mr. Trinh Dinh Hung congratulated the students for their efforts in achieving excellent academic and personal development despite facing many difficulties in life. He also expressed his hope that the students would use the KT Scholarship effectively, maintain their outstanding academic and personal achievements, and develop themselves so that they can contribute more to their homeland, society, and country in the future, especially in this era of national progress.
Mr. Trinh Dinh Hung (son-in-law of Mrs. Phan Thi Khoa) delivered a speech pledging the long-term commitment of the Economic Fund to the training of young generations at Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
Speaking on behalf of the scholarship recipients, Le Thi Ngoc Huyen, a second-year student in the Faculty of International Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, expressed: “The special attention from the teachers and the Scholarship Fund is an invaluable source of encouragement for us to continue pursuing our dreams and passions. For me, the KT scholarship is a great and effective source of motivation for the students who receive it, especially those who actively participate in scientific research, student union activities, and other competitions. We promise to strive even harder in our studies, cultivate our morals, and improve ourselves to become good citizens, contributing to building our homeland and country, helping society, and not letting down the affection and care that the teachers and the families of the two recipients have given us.”

Student Le Thi Ngoc Huyen expressed her deep gratitude to the leaders of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, her teachers, and the Foundation for their support in her studies and life.
Among the 20 students from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is honored to have 5 outstanding students who will receive the KT scholarship in 2025:

On the occasion of the 2025 scholarship award ceremony, representatives of the family of Ms. Phan Thi Khoa presented the students with a copy of her memoir as a message, passing on to the younger generation the indomitable spirit and dedication of a typical Vietnamese female entrepreneur.
