Following the training course on the application of GEN AI in teaching and research for faculty and staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a series of 15 classes exclusively for VNU-USSH students has been launched with the theme "Gen Z Mastering Gen AI - A Bright Future". The course is offered free of charge to students with the support of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, and Meta Group within the framework of the AI Application Capacity Building Project.
The first class of the GenZ AI Mastery training course commenced in room 509, building A, Faculty of Information and Library Science.
Lecturer Nguyen Phong Anh - a training expert for organizations and businesses - shared practical experiences on AI applications.
The series of classes attracted 600 registered students, with each class lasting five consecutive sessions and covering a wide range of practical and highly relevant topics such as: Exploring the world of AI; the operating principles, applications, and limitations of AI; prompt strategies for working with AI; learning quickly, understanding deeply, and doing correctly; enhancing critical thinking and research capabilities; understanding and applying AI ethics in learning, life, and work…
In addition, students learn specific skills to effectively apply to their studies and research, such as: using GenAI to summarize documents, brainstorm ideas, and create effective presentation slides; using GenAI for translation, fact-checking, and cross-referencing sources; finding literature, extracting outlines, analyzing data, and creating charts; building professional CVs, portfolios, and personal websites; and using GenAI to create creative video content and optimize supporting tools for each field.
For third and fourth-year students, the course also supports them with essential skills for accessing the job market and securing good employment opportunities, such as: analyzing and developing personal project ideas and startups with the support of GenAl; and using GenAl to practice interviews and optimize answers according to the job position.
VNU-USSH students are excited to explore new knowledge about the world of AI.
According to Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Hung - Head of the Information and Library Science Department, co-leader of the AI Application Capacity Building Project, and head of the training course organizing committee, this is not a course on how to use a typical software, but rather on an extremely intelligent application that changes daily and hourly. Therefore, instead of guiding students through specific operations, the highest goal of the course is to equip them with the mindset, methods, and approaches to a new technology so that teachers and students can creatively and effectively apply it to their practical work.
During the course, experts will design specific, personalized practical exercises so that by the end of the course, students can grasp the most fundamental principles and how to turn AI into a truly effective tool.
The students are guided by lecturers and experts with extensive experience in the research and application of Gen AI.
