On the side of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, chairing and coordinating the content of the dialogue were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Party Secretary, Principal of the University; along with Vice Principals: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong; Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Department of Student Affairs and Affairs and Dr. Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the University Youth Union, along with representatives of leaders of departments, functional centers, and leaders of training units.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal of the School hopes to receive the frankness and sense of responsibility of the school's students during the dialogue.
In his opening speech, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan said: The dialogue program between the school leaders and students is a forum for direct exchange between teachers and students. With the goal of grasping and promptly resolving the thoughts, aspirations, needs, and legitimate requests of students in order to jointly build the University of Social Sciences and Humanities stronger and stronger.
Over the past year, the school has been implementing many projects to upgrade both facilities and training programs. Projects such as repairing and upgrading the toilets of building G, renovating building A facing the main road and providing high-speed wifi coverage, etc. are efforts of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in listening to and ensuring the rights of learners.
With more than 165 questions recorded, the Principal welcomed the students' frankness, clear awareness of their own rights as well as their responsibilities to the school and society.
Innovate teaching and add new programs in the future
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Head of Training Department
As a unit that receives much attention from students, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Head of Training Department shared and gave advice on the learning path of students. Specifically, the school has policies to create conditions for students to study for a master's degree from year 3 if they meet the requirements; support students studying major 2 as well as support final year students to do internships at domestic and foreign businesses and companies.
Also at the dialogue, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam said that next year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will open a new training program "Cinema and Popular Arts", and at the same time consider and aim to adjust and convert equivalent courses in the training program.
In the coming time, policies will increase care and support for students with health problems, such as electronic lecture programs that support audio for visually impaired students.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of Department in charge of Student Affairs and Policy Department
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Office of Student Affairs and Training said: Currently, students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are entitled to 25 types of scholarships within and outside the budget. The school always searches for and promptly informs students of information on scholarship programs via email, website and Facebook as well as sends official dispatches directly to training units. At the same time, it organizes many programs to support CV writing and interview skills as well as contacts agencies and businesses to organize job fairs, talk shows, and create survey links to suit the scale and needs of the school's students.
Ensuring the rights of learners and improving the quality of facilities
MSc. Kim Thi Diep Ha - Head of Planning and Finance Department
In order to answer students' questions about changes in tuition fees, Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha - Head of the Department of Planning and Finance gave detailed answers through citing Decree 81 of 2021 and changes due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic. Accordingly, students attending were also updated with the latest information and supported on tuition payment deadlines as well as the refund process from some credits. With the goal of supporting learners to easily access scholarship sources, the Department of Science and Technology also answered and guided students on how to learn about scholarship conditions and sources of scholarships inside and outside the school.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of Cooperation and Development Department shares information related to scholarships and student exchange to study abroad.
Coming to the dialogue, students not only listened to the answers of the School's Board of Directors and functional departments to questions posed in advance, but also had the opportunity to directly discuss with teachers representing each specific department/faculty/institute. The questions mainly revolved around students' concerns during the training process as well as recommendations on possible adjustments and improvements in the curriculum as well as facilities. Students' questions and recommendations were all answered and satisfactorily resolved by teachers.




After listening to all the opinions shared by students, the discussion of the Board of Directors and representatives of relevant departments, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan concluded: the consistent viewpoint of the School is to create the most favorable conditions for students' learning according to the philosophy of liberal education, promptly implementing the regulations of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training and VNU to all students. At the same time, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan directed the departments to promptly inform and have appropriate orientations for students, and requested the faculties/institutes/departments to coordinate with the focal points to research and establish an open forum so that students can exchange and the school can respond quickly, promptly and formally.

In his closing speech, Principal Hoang Anh Tuan shared: The conclusions from the "Dialogue Program between School Leaders and Students 2022" have been implemented and achieved results beyond expectations.
In the joyful atmosphere before Christmas, on the threshold of 2024 - towards the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the Faculty of Literature - University of General Sciences and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, sent the best wishes to the students and sent them a message: "Through every action, every word, every positive status and every meaningful action of each student,... our messages and images imbued with Humanity will spread to everyone".
