The delegates attending included Lieutenant Colonel Duong Van Tac - Center for National Defense and Security; Ms. Duong Thi Lan Anh - Center for Information and Library; Mr. Nguyen Van Son - Center for Sports and Physical Education; Dr. Nguyen Quang Tam - National University Hospital; and Dr. Nguyen Van Dung - Medical and Pharmaceutical Hospital, representing the units of Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

On the part of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the dialogue session was chaired and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan – Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University; along with the Vice Rectors: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong; Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Student Affairs and Student Support Department; and Dr. Ta Thi Bich Ngoc - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University, along with representatives from the leadership of functional departments and centers, and leaders of training units.
Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, the Rector of the university, hopes to receive frankness and a sense of responsibility from the students during the dialogue session.
In his opening remarks, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan stated: "The dialogue program between the university leadership and students is a forum for direct exchange between faculty and students. Its goal is to understand and promptly address the legitimate concerns, aspirations, needs, and requests of students, in order to jointly build a stronger and more prosperous University of Social Sciences and Humanities."
Over the past year, the university has been implementing numerous projects to upgrade both its facilities and training programs. Projects such as repairing and upgrading the restrooms in building G, modifying building A to face the main road and providing high-speed Wi-Fi coverage, etc., are all efforts by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to listen to and ensure the rights of its students.
With over 165 questions recorded, the Principal commended the students' frankness and clear awareness of their own rights as well as their responsibilities to the school and society.
Innovate teaching methods and add new curricula in the future.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Head of Training Department
As a unit that receives much attention from students, Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam - Head of the Training Department - shared insights and advice on the students' learning paths. Specifically, the university has policies to facilitate students to pursue a master's degree from their third year if they meet the requirements; support students in pursuing a second major; and support final-year students in practical internships at domestic and international businesses and companies.
Also at the dialogue session, Associate Professor Bui Thanh Nam stated that in the coming year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will launch a new training program in "Cinema and Popular Arts," while also considering and aiming to adjust and convert equivalent courses within the curriculum.
In the future, policies will be implemented to enhance care and support for students with health issues, such as providing audio-assisted electronic lectures for visually impaired students.
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Student Affairs and Student Support Department
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu - Deputy Head of the Student Affairs and Student Support Department, said: Currently, students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities are eligible for 25 types of scholarships, both from within and outside the state budget. The university always seeks out and promptly informs students about scholarship programs through email, website, and Facebook, as well as sending official letters directly to training units. At the same time, the university organizes many programs to support skills in CV writing and interview preparation, and contacts agencies and businesses to organize job fairs, talk shows, and create survey links to suit the scale and needs of the university's students.
Ensuring the rights of learners and improving the quality of facilities.
Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha - Head of Planning and Finance Department
To address students' concerns about tuition fee changes, Ms. Kim Thi Diep Ha, Head of the Planning and Finance Department, provided detailed explanations, citing Decree 81 of 2021 and the changes resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. Attendees also received the latest information and support regarding tuition payment deadlines and the refund process for certain courses with grade coverage. With the goal of facilitating students' access to scholarships, the Planning and Finance Department also answered questions and guided students on how to find out about scholarship requirements and various scholarship sources both within and outside the university.
Dr. Pham Hoang Hung - Head of the Cooperation and Development Department, shared information related to scholarships and overseas study exchange programs for students.
At the student dialogue session, students not only had the opportunity to hear answers from the University's leadership and functional departments to pre-assigned questions, but they also had the chance to directly interact with faculty representatives from specific departments/faculties/institutes. The questions mainly revolved around students' concerns during their training, as well as recommendations for adjustments and improvements in the curriculum and facilities. All student inquiries and suggestions were answered and addressed satisfactorily by the faculty.




After listening to all the feedback from students, discussions with the Board of Directors and representatives from relevant departments, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan concluded: the consistent viewpoint of the University is to create the most favorable conditions for students' learning according to the philosophy of liberal education, and to promptly implement the regulations of the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Vietnam National University, Hanoi to all students. At the same time, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan directed departments to provide timely information and appropriate guidance to students, and requested faculties/institutes/departments to coordinate with relevant parties to research and establish an open forum where students can exchange information and the university can provide quick, timely, and formal answers.

In his closing remarks at the dialogue session, Rector Hoang Anh Tuan shared: The conclusions from the "Dialogue Program between the University's Leadership and Students 2022" have been implemented and have yielded results exceeding expectations.
In the joyful atmosphere leading up to Christmas and on the eve of 2024 – towards the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature at the University of Hanoi and the 30th anniversary of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Professor Hoang Anh Tuan, representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, sends his best wishes to the students and conveys a message: “Through every action, every word, every positive status update, and every meaningful deed of each student,... our messages and images imbued with humanistic values will spread to everyone.”
