University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

During the period from March 25th to April 5th, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities received many questions from candidates regarding the 2012 university entrance examination. In addition to general questions about choosing majors and admission regulations, we categorized and focused our answers on Psychology, Tourism Studies, and Oriental Studies.

On March 11th, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in the 2012 university admissions counseling fair organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper in Hanoi.

Forty young lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in a course on "Course Design and Teaching Methods" taught by experts from the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) from February 27 to March 2, 2011.

Continuing to innovate teaching and learning methods, in the second semester of the 2011-2012 academic year, the school piloted the use of subject websites in teaching and learning in 19 subject classes. The subject websites were used as a tool for lecturers to implement teaching activities.

On February 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a meeting on undergraduate training, chaired by Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University.

Based on the results of the entrance exam for the part-time, work-study program in Journalism offered at the College of Television, held on January 7, 2012, the Admissions Council met on February 13, 2012 to review the admission cutoff scores and concluded as follows:

On November 12, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a graduation ceremony for master's students of the second cohort of 2011. 112 graduate students from 14 different majors received their degrees, including 64 students from the QH-2008-X cohort and 1 student from the QH-2009-X cohort who defended their thesis ahead of schedule.

According to the plan, the School was scheduled to award degrees for the Tourism Studies major on January 12, 2012; however, due to objective circumstances from the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, the School has temporarily postponed the awarding of degrees for this major.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, solemnly held the opening ceremony for its postgraduate training course in 2011 on November 23, 2011. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Vu Minh Giang – Vice Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim – Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives from functional departments, faculties/departments, and the new postgraduate and doctoral students of 2011.
