The scholarship and Master's Degree Award Ceremony for the Master of Organizational Management (MADO) and Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology (PDEA) programs, cohorts 4 and 5, academic year 2011-2012, was held solemnly on April 6, 2012. Attending the ceremony were the Vice Rector and Head of Scientific Affairs of MADO, representatives from the University of Toulouse II Le Mirail (France), the Director of the Francophone University Agency for Asia and the Pacific (AUF), representatives from the French University Center in Hanoi (PUF), representatives from the French Embassy, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu, Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Trinh Van Tung, Head of Francophone Affairs, leaders of relevant functional departments, and MADO and PDEA students. Scholarships from PUF and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities were awarded to 8 students in the MADO program and 3 students in the PDEA program who achieved high academic results in the first semester of the 2011-2012 academic year. The scholarships were divided into three levels: level 1: 10 million VND; level 2: 5.0 million VND; and level 3: 2.5 million VND. MADO and PDEA are international-quality joint training programs between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and the University of Toulouse II Le Mirail, implemented since 2007 within the framework of AUF and PUF, aiming to train high-quality human resources and transfer training technology. To date, these two programs have trained 5 cohorts with approximately 190 students, of whom 135 have graduated with international-standard qualifications. After graduation, 100% of the students quickly found suitable employment within 5 months or moved on to more attractive jobs with significantly higher incomes. To continue recruiting for the 6th cohort starting in the 2012-2013 academic year (expected to have two enrollment periods in June and September 2012), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, together with its partner, the University of Toulouse Le Mirail, is negotiating scholarships and has reached a basic agreement on scholarship schemes for different categories of applicants. Notably, these are two programs preparing candidates for doctoral research in developed French-speaking countries.
