University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces new information on full-time university enrollment in 2012.
1. Some new points- Admission method: Admission score according to major. Candidates who are not admitted to the major they registered for can transfer to another major at the school if there are still vacancies. - Additional exam blocks: Journalism and Linguistics majors will enroll additional block A; Psychology majors will enroll additional block B. - Direct admission (no limit on number): Candidates who are members of teams participating in regional and international olympics and candidates who won third prize or higher in the national excellent student selection exam will be admitted to the same major or major close to the subject in which the student won the prize. - Priority admission (no limit on number): Candidates who do not use the right to direct admission or do not register to study in the same major group according to the subject in which they won the prize if they take the university entrance exam with enough subjects as required, the exam results meet the university floor score of the Ministry of Education and Training or higher, and no subject has a score of 0.
2. International standard Linguistics training program. This is a training program under the strategic mission of VNU. Students are supported with an additional training budget of 17 million VND/year, including English language tuition. Graduates are awarded a bachelor's degree that meets international standards equivalent to degrees from foreign partner universities.
3. High quality training programincluding Philosophy, Management Science, Literature, History. After admission, students will be guided to register for admission to the above high-quality training programs; receive training funding of 7.5 million VND/year, and receive priority support for English language tuition to achieve a minimum level of B2 equivalent to 5.0 IELTS. Graduates will be awarded a high-quality bachelor's degree.
4. Training two training programs at the same time: After the first year of study, if desired, students can register to study a second training program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities or another training unit in VNU to be awarded two regular university degrees upon graduation.
5. Other notes: - Students majoring in Clinical Psychology are given priority in training by the School and receive additional support from the Francophone University Agency (AUF). Students are considered for scholarships like students studying high-quality training programs and have the opportunity to transfer to the School's joint master's training programs in French. - Successful candidates will study one of four foreign languages: English, Russian, French, Chinese. For Russian, French, Chinese, if there are not enough students to open a class, students will switch to studying English. - The following majors have their own regulations on foreign language learning:
- Oriental Studies: General Foreign Language English;
- Han Nom major: foreign languages only learn Chinese
- The school does not have a special training program for visually impaired or hearing impaired students. - Admitted students can borrow interest-free loans from United Overseas Bank (UOB) Ho Chi Minh City branch to pay tuition fees. Detailed information will be provided upon admission.

In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on the list of university training majors, the majors of Information Science, Archival Science, Tourism and Travel Services Management have been enrolled since 2012 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. With the principle that one major name can have many training programs, students admitted to the majors of Information Science, Archival Science, Tourism and Travel Services Management are trained according to the training programs with the following program names: - Information - Library - Archival Science and Office Management - Tourism Science. Upon graduation, the name of the student's major is written on the diploma according to the names of the 3 training programs mentioned above.
