The University of Social Sciences and Humanities announces the latest information regarding the 2012 regular undergraduate admissions.
1. Some new points- Admission method: Admission scores are based on the chosen major. Candidates who are not admitted to their registered major will be transferred to another major at the university if there are still vacancies. - Additional exam blocks: Journalism and Linguistics majors will admit students from Block A; Psychology major will admit students from Block B. - Direct admission (unlimited number): Candidates who are members of the national team participating in regional or international Olympiads and those who have won third prize or higher in the national excellent student competition will be admitted to majors that are directly related or closely related to the subject in which they won the prize. - Priority admission (unlimited number): Candidates who do not use their right to direct admission or do not register for a major in the group of majors related to the subject in which they won the prize, but take the required number of subjects in the university entrance exam, achieve a score equal to or higher than the minimum university admission score set by the Ministry of Education and Training, and do not have any subject with a score of 0.
2. The Linguistics program meets international standards.This training program is part of the strategic mission of Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU). Students receive additional financial support of 17 million VND per year, including funding for English language studies. Graduates receive a bachelor's degree that meets international standards, equivalent to degrees from partner universities abroad.
3. High-quality training programThe programs include Philosophy, Management Science, Literature, and History. After enrollment, students will be guided through the application process for admission to the aforementioned high-quality training programs; they will receive a training allowance of 7.5 million VND per year and priority support for English language training to achieve at least a B2 level, equivalent to an IELTS 5.0. Graduates will receive a high-quality bachelor's degree.
4. Simultaneously conducting two training programs.After the first year of study, if they so wish, students can register for a second training program at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities or another training unit within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, so that upon graduation they will receive two official university degrees.
5. Other notes- Students majoring in Clinical Psychology are given priority in training by the University and receive additional support from the Agency for Francophone Universities (AUF). Students are considered for scholarships like students in high-quality training programs and have the opportunity to transfer to the University's joint master's programs in French. - Successful candidates will study one of four foreign languages: English, Russian, French, or Chinese. For Russian, French, or Chinese, if there are not enough students to form a class, students will switch to studying English. - The following majors have specific regulations regarding foreign language study:
- Oriental Studies major: general foreign language, English;
- Han Nom Studies major: foreign language only includes Chinese.
- The school does not yet have a special training program for visually or hearing impaired students. - Admitted students can borrow interest-free loans from United Overseas Bank (UOB) Ho Chi Minh City branch to pay tuition fees. Detailed information will be provided upon enrollment.

In accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training regarding the list of university training majors, the Information Science, Archival Science, and Tourism and Travel Service Management majors have been offered at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities since 2012. Following the principle that one major name may encompass multiple training programs, students admitted to the Information Science, Archival Science, and Tourism and Travel Service Management majors will be trained in programs with the following program names: - Information - Library Science - Archival Science and Office Management - Tourism Studies. Upon graduation, the major name on the diploma will reflect the names of the three training programs mentioned above.
