In the era of the artificial intelligence boom, the effective and ethical application of AI in teaching and research is crucial. To support lecturers, researchers, teachers, and those involved in training and developing their AI application skills, the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, is pleased to introduce the short-term training program: “Breakthroughs with AI in Teaching and Research”.

From July 28th to August 1st, 2025, 81 students from the Information Management and Information-Library Science majors officially began their intensive internship and practical training in Quang Ninh province as part of the second semester's coursework plan for the 2024-2025 academic year. This is an important annual activity in the training program, helping students gain practical professional experience while fostering a connection between knowledge, practice, and people in the two majors.

Aiming to build a standardized, high-quality system of textbooks and monographs, contributing to affirming its pioneering and leading role and position in training and scientific research, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has approved a key project on publishing textbooks, monographs, and scientific products of the University.

This was the topic discussed at the scientific seminar on the theme "Building an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Competency Framework for Students," jointly organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (USSH) and META Corporation this morning, July 23, 2025.

On the morning of June 10, 2025, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) collaborated with the Trade Union of the Faculty of Information and Library Science to organize a seminar on the topic "Application of AI in Organizing Meetings".

The student team from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, excellently won First Prize at the "Vietnamese Youth with Scientific and Technological Knowledge" competition, held on May 15, 2025, at the Information and Statistics Department - Ministry of Science and Technology.

On April 26-27, 2025, the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, successfully implemented the "UP 2025" Volunteer Library Project at Nam Phong Primary and Secondary School, Nam Phong Commune, Cao Phong District, Hoa Binh Province. 2025 marks a special milestone: 10 years of the "UP" charitable journey, persistently spreading knowledge and igniting hope for children in mountainous regions across the country. Fifteen years – a journey filled with pride for those steadfast in their mission to "send love, share knowledge".

This was the content that was discussed and unanimously agreed upon at the Party Congress of the Faculty of Information and Library Science, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, for the term 2025-2027, held this morning, March 4, 2025.

This is the objective of the course organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) in collaboration with Meta Group, from February 17th to February 20th, 2025, specifically for administrative staff of the University. VNU-USSH is the first university in Vietnam to successfully implement comprehensive, in-depth, and certified training courses on GEN AI for staff, lecturers, and students.

This morning, January 2nd, 2025, the first class of the Gen AI training course, exclusively for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), commenced with guidance from lecturers and experts of the AI ​​Application Capacity Building Project.

On the morning of November 11, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the Faculty of Information and Library Science solemnly organized a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th, honoring and expressing gratitude for the contributions of teachers who play a crucial role in educating and training the younger generation.

Within the framework of the Vietnammica project, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had the honor of welcoming Professor Marc Bui and Associate Professor Pascal Bourdeaux from the French Institute for Advanced Studies (EPHE) for a working visit and a series of presentations on the theme "Vietnamese History and Digital Humanities: Reconsidering and Utilizing Historical Sources".
