Developing the workforce and promoting technological advancements in training and research activities.According to the report evaluating the Party branch's leadership in implementing the Resolution of the Party Branch Congress for the 2022-2025 term, the Information and Library Science Department Party Branch currently has 26 Party members, including 15 full members and 11 probationary members.
During the 2022-2025 term, the Faculty made breakthroughs in personnel management. Specifically, the Faculty strengthened its staff (adding 4 lecturers), upgraded academic ranks and degrees, added 1 Associate Professor, and many lecturers participated in doctoral programs. The Faculty's staff has gradually matured in all aspects, achieving breakthroughs in domestic and international publications (especially Q1), and implementing major research projects. Faculty members have engaged in professional activities with national and regional impact. The Faculty consistently organizes professional training courses to improve the skills of its lecturers.
The Faculty has stabilized the organization of 3 departments, clarified the functions, tasks, and professional orientations of each department, and renamed the Information Management department to align with the faculty's development direction; completed the adjustment of 5 training programs at various levels, and many new courses have been updated and added to the training programs to meet the needs of society for high-quality information management and information-library human resources.

Developing MOOCs (Mobile Open Online Courses)The Faculty and the University have approved the introduction of the Basic Informatics course into their curriculum, starting in February 2025 and attracting 300 student registrations. This affirms the Faculty's and the University's commitment to innovating teaching methods, providing learners with new knowledge through digital learning, and meeting the demand for high-quality human resources in society.
In addition, the Faculty continues to strengthen cooperation with businesses, bringing businesses closer to the classroom. A highlight is that over the past nearly three years, all faculty members have successfully participated in and implemented the "Enhancing Digital Capacity for Students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities" project, sponsored by Meta Group, and are continuing to implement the "Project".

Innovate vigorously and leverage your pioneering position.The Congress listened to the Party Committee's self-assessment report; the summary report of opinions on the draft documents submitted to the Congress and the documents of the University Party Committee Congress for the 2025-2030 term. Delegates attending the Congress discussed and contributed many opinions to the political reports; held a secret ballot and unanimously elected the Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term; elected 7 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to the University Party Committee Congress; and adopted the Congress Resolution. Accordingly, the Party Committee of the Faculty of Information and Library Science for the 2025-2027 term includes: Comrade Do Van Hung as Secretary of the Party Committee, Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Dung as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee; and Comrade Dao Minh Quan as a Party Committee member.

The Party Committee of the Faculty of Information and Library Science for the term 2025-2027 was introduced at the Congress. The Congress unanimously agreed on the development direction of the Faculty of Information and Library Science according to the training institute model, closely linking training, scientific research, and practical application. The focus is on innovation, digital transformation, and improving the quality of training to meet the demand for high-quality human resources in the fields of information, library, and knowledge management. The Faculty will proactively integrate and cooperate internationally, promote interdisciplinary research, and apply advanced technologies to information management, digital libraries, and artificial intelligence. Simultaneously, it will develop flexible, modern training programs that are closely linked to businesses and practical needs. "Innovation - Digital Transformation - Pioneering Development" is the action slogan adopted by the Congress.
Comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, delivered a speech at the Party Branch Congress of the Faculty of Information and Library Science.
In her speech congratulating the success of the Congress, Comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, President of the Trade Union, and Deputy Head of the Personnel and Organization Department - emphasized the leading, pioneering, and innovative role of the Faculty of Information and Library Science in applying technology to research and training activities, and building an electronic lecture system... Although a unit of modest size, the Faculty has achieved important accomplishments, leaving many imprints on the education sector, as demonstrated in the scientific products and projects implemented for students, lecturers, and staff inside and outside the university. The Party Committee and each Party member need to be resolute in implementing the Resolution of the Congress to continue to uphold the 30-year tradition of the Faculty, making important contributions to the goal of developing a digital university and a research university of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and of VNU Hanoi.




The Congress unanimously adopted the Resolution and elected the Party Committee of the Faculty of Information and Library Science.
