Representing the University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector; and leaders from the Training Department, the Political and Student Affairs Department, and the Scientific Research Management Department.
On the part of the Faculty of Information and Library Science, there was Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Head of Faculty, along with all the staff, lecturers, and students, trainees, and postgraduate researchers of the Faculty of Information and Library Science.
Also present to celebrate with the Faculty of Information and Library Science were former faculty members from various generations; visiting lecturers; and representatives from the Executive Board of the Faculty's Alumni Association.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Vice Dean of the Faculty and President of the Trade Union, expressed her sincere gratitude and congratulations to all generations of teachers who have worked and are currently working at the Faculty on this important occasion. This is a day for the Faculty's leadership, along with faculty members, lecturers, and generations of students, trainees, and researchers, to express their gratitude, respect, and heartfelt appreciation to the teachers who laid the foundation for the Information and Library Science faculty and have guided countless generations of students, trainees, and researchers on the path of knowledge and humanities.
Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung, Deputy Head of Faculty and President of the Faculty's Trade Union, delivered the opening speech at the ceremony.
On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Dung expressed her gratitude to the University's Board of Directors and all departments for their invaluable support in the development of the Department of Information and Library Science. She pledged to make every effort to build the Department of Information and Library Science into a stronger and more developed institution, a leading unit in scientific research and training high-quality human resources in Information and Library Science and Information Management for society.
On behalf of the Board of Directors, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Vice Rector of the University, expressed her delight at the achievements the Faculty has made in recent times. Today's event is not only an opportunity to express gratitude to the dedicated teachers and mentors, but also a chance for the Faculty of Information and Library Science to reflect on its nearly 30-year journey in training and development. Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong also emphasized the important role of the Faculty in the field of Information and Library Science, noting that it not only trains high-quality human resources for society but is also a vibrant and active unit in the activities of the University and the Trade Union and Student Association.

In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong also highly appreciated the pioneering role of the Faculty in promoting digital transformation at the University. This not only helps improve the quality of teaching but also makes a significant contribution to the digital transformation process in the field of education and training. Associate Professor Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong also extended her congratulations to the Faculty and to Dr. Do Van Hung, Head of the Faculty of Information and Library Science, who was recently recognized as an Associate Professor by the State Council of Professors. This is also an acknowledgment of the competence and contributions in professional work, teaching, and scientific research of Dr. Do Van Hung, as well as the entire Faculty. It is hoped that with this recognition, Dr. Hung and the Faculty will continue to contribute to improving the quality of education and training of the Faculty in particular and the University in general.
