On May 5, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the International University of Korea (IUK) signed a framework agreement establishing a cooperative relationship between the two universities.

Eight drama teams from various departments within the university had a memorable performance at the Faculty of Literature's Extended Drama Night, an event held to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the Faculty of Literature (1956 – 2011).

"Vu Nhu To" is one of the most artistically valuable plays in Vietnamese theater. Through unique reinterpretations, author Nguyen Huy Tuong vividly portrays the face of the Le Trung Hung dynasty, specifically Le Tuong Duc, representing a fundamental decline of the Vietnamese feudal system in the 16th century.

On April 25, 2011, Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Rector of the University - signed a decision appointing Dr. Tran Thu Huong (Deputy Head of the Department of Clinical Psychology) to the position of Deputy Head of the Faculty of Psychology, for a term concurrent with that of the Head of the Faculty.

On April 25, 2011, the Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the YuMe network, organized an exchange program on the theme "Developing Perfect Writing Skills".

On April 25th, Professor Nguyen Van Khanh (Rector of the University) held a meeting with Professor Chung Sok Suh (Director of the Institute of Korean Studies, University of New South Wales, Australia). During the meeting, the two sides discussed future cooperation plans: jointly undertaking a five-year interdisciplinary research project on public administration, culture, and economic policy. A joint scientific conference is also planned for July 2012.

On April 23, 2011, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held its 2011 Party work conference.

On April 22, 2011, a delegation from Guangxi Nationalities University (China), led by Professor Chung Hai-ching (Party Secretary), visited and worked with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
