University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU Hanoi

From June 23-25, 2025, lecturers and scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities participated in and shared their experiences in teaching Korean at the 2025 Training Workshop for Korean Translation and Interpretation Teachers at King Sejong Institute in Vietnam, held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Thanks to the valuable training program of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, students majoring in Sino-Vietnamese Studies receive thorough training and are equipped with many skills. Many career opportunities have opened up for Sino-Vietnamese graduates from VNU-USSH.

This policy was announced by the university leadership at the 2025 Scientific Work Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), held on the morning of March 24, 2025, with the participation of leaders from faculties/institutes and functional departments.

After more than one month of document research and five days of on-site work at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), the External Evaluation Team of the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation has completed the official survey to assess the quality of six training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.

During this evaluation survey, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) conducted an external evaluation of 3 master's degree programs (Political Science, Management Science, and Journalism and Media Management) and 3 undergraduate programs (Southeast Asian Studies, Japanese Studies, and Sino-Vietnamese Studies).

This is the content of the meeting between the leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and representatives of META Group (Facebook) on March 11, 2025.

On March 12, 2025, the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) educational organization announced the results of its ranking of 55 fields across 5 groups of 1,747 higher education institutions with approximately 21,000 training programs. For the first time, the Sociology field of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, was ranked 301-375 globally.

The Congress discussed and contributed opinions to the documents, elected the Party Committee for the 2025-2027 term, and adopted the Congress Resolution.

On the afternoon of March 10, 2025, the Party Branch IV of the Administration Block of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) held its Congress for the 2025-2027 term with the participation of all Party members in the Branch.

The key directions and tasks for the 2025-2027 term were unanimously approved by the Party Branch of the Faculty of Sociology and Social Work at the Party Branch Congress held on the morning of March 10, 2025.

These are the results achieved by the trainees after two months of study and completion of the training course at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH).

The training program in Japan for postgraduate students and researchers in Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held in mid-February 2025, was not only an opportunity for students and researchers to expand their academic knowledge but also a chance to promote research cooperation between the Department of Japanese Studies and partner universities and many leading research centers in Japan.

This morning, March 6th, 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi, welcomed the external evaluation team from the Thang Long Center for Educational Quality Accreditation to conduct a preliminary external evaluation of 3 undergraduate and 3 master's degree programs (according to Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDĐT).

The Basic Informatics course, taught via electronic lectures, has attracted nearly 300 initial students who registered and officially began studying in early February 2025.
