The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is a flagship program of the U.S. Department of State that advances strategic goals, breaks down barriers for young people in Southeast Asia, and connects them to the United States.
The YSEALI Young Professional Fellowship Program (YSEALI PFP) is a U.S. Department of State bidirectional exchange program designed to strengthen ties between young leaders from Southeast Asia and the United States. Through intensive fellowships designed to broaden their professional knowledge and enhance their leadership capabilities, YSEALI PFP provides young Southeast Asian leaders with firsthand experience and exposure to U.S. public and private sector organizations addressing diverse issues. The 2022 YSEALI PFP is planned as a hybrid program, including both online activities and an in-person component at host institutions in the United States.
YSEALI PFP will take place in two sessions in 2022:
Session 1: Online activities will begin in February 2022. In-person learning in the United States is scheduled to run from June 13 to July 22, 2022.
Session 2: Online activities will begin in May 2022. In-person learning in the United States is scheduled to take place from September 12 to October 21, 2022.
