On the afternoon of October 15, 2011, the Center for Foreign Languages and International Educational Exchange Promotion – University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in collaboration with the Cambridge English Examination Board (Cambridge ESOL), organized a workshop on the "European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)".The workshop was attended by representatives from the Postgraduate Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Director of the Center for Foreign Languages and International Educational Exchange Promotion, and representatives from Cambridge ESOL. The Cambridge ESOL representatives presented information on the European Framework of Reference, the B1 standard, and the Cambridge ESOL PET program. Many questions from English teachers were also answered directly at the workshop. The representatives from the Center for Foreign Languages and International Educational Exchange Promotion also introduced foreign language training courses based on the European Framework of Reference.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training's Foreign Language Teaching and Learning Project for the period 2008-2020, the European Framework of Reference is applied to foreign language teaching programs in all educational levels, from secondary school to university.
