On November 6, 2012, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 4th course of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Services Management.
On November 6, 2012, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 4th course of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Services Management.Attending the opening ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the University, Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal and Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, MSc. Dinh Viet Hai - Deputy Head of Training Department and representatives of leaders of the University's units. In the 2012 - 2013 school year, the 4th course of the dual degree training program in Tourism and Travel Services Management had 82 students admitted. Notably, compared to the previous three courses, this is the first course with 14 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities from different majors admitted. Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim congratulated the students who were admitted and enrolled in the dual degree training program in Tourism and Travel Services Management. The Vice Principal emphasized that dual degree training is a development trend of universities around the world. The Faculty of Tourism Studies is one of the pioneers in dual degree training at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In July 2012, 20 students of the first course of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Services Management graduated. Among them, 13 students achieved excellent results. The Vice President hopes that the new students will make efforts to arrange their time scientifically and reasonably to study both majors at the same time. The dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Services Management began enrolling and organizing training from the 2009-2010 school year. The subjects of the program are full-time students of the University of Foreign Languages (VNU) who have completed the first year and achieved an average GPA of 2.00 or higher at the time of application. This year, the admission target of the expanded major includes full-time students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities who satisfy the following conditions: + Completed the first year of study, achieved an average GPA of 2.00 or higher at the time of application; + Have at least 40 credits of subjects in the first major training program that coincide with the list of subjects of the dual degree training program.
