On November 6, 2012, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, solemnly held the opening ceremony for the 4th cohort of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management.
On November 6, 2012, the Faculty of Tourism Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, solemnly held the opening ceremony for the 4th cohort of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management.The opening ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Rector and Head of the Faculty of Tourism Studies, Mr. Dinh Viet Hai - Deputy Head of the Training Department, and representatives from various units of the University. For the 2012-2013 academic year, the fourth cohort of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management had 82 students admitted. Notably, compared to the three previous cohorts, this is the first cohort to have 14 students from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, from different academic disciplines, admitted. Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim congratulated the students on their admission and enrollment in the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management. The Vice Rector emphasized that dual degree programs are a developing trend in universities worldwide. The Faculty of Tourism Studies is one of the pioneering units in dual degree programs at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. In July 2012, 20 students from the first cohort of the dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management graduated. Among them, 13 students achieved excellent grades. The Vice Rector hopes that the new cohort of students will strive to manage their time scientifically and rationally to excel in both fields of study simultaneously. The dual degree program in Tourism and Travel Service Management began enrolling and training students in the 2009-2010 academic year. The target applicants are full-time students of the University of Foreign Languages ​​(Vietnam National University, Hanoi) who have completed their first year and achieved a GPA of 2.00 or higher at the time of application. This year, the admission criteria for the program have been expanded to include full-time students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities who meet the following conditions: + Have completed their first year of study and achieved a GPA of 2.00 or higher at the time of application; + Have at least 40 credits in courses from their first major program that overlap with the course list of the dual degree program.
