English proficiency assessments are conducted on a departmental basis, and participation is mandatory for students in the 2009, 2010, and 2011 cohorts. Students will take an exam covering three skills: reading comprehension, writing, and listening. The exam duration is 120 minutes, with the listening section lasting 45 minutes.

The exam duration is 120 minutes, with the listening section lasting 45 minutes.From now until January 2013, the University will conduct English proficiency assessments for 1972 students according to the following schedule: 1. November 17, 2012 (8:30 AM): Students from the four high-quality training programs and students from the Faculty of Tourism Studies. 2. November 24, 2012 (2:00 PM): Students from Linguistics and Oriental Studies. 3. January 26, 2013 (8:30 AM): Students from Journalism and Vietnamese Studies. 4. January 26, 2013 (2:00 PM): Students from Political Science and International Studies.NoteThe remaining programs will be implemented in the second semester after an evaluation of the collaboration results with AMA in the first semester.Exam location: 5th floor, Building C and Building H. The exam list will be sent to students via email two days before the exam date. The university assigns the responsibility for this task to the Training Counseling and Support Team of the Center for Training Quality Assurance. The Training Department and the Administration and General Affairs Department will also participate. Members of the Faculty Deans in charge of regular undergraduate training and training assistants are responsible for coordinating directly with the Training Counseling and Support Team to carry out this task. Units are requested to inform students from the 2009, 2010, and 2011 cohorts to participate fully and seriously. When taking the exam, students must bring their student ID card or other photo identification.
