On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945-2025), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi in collaboration with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Ho Chi Minh City respectfully announce the organization of an International Scientific Conference with the theme: "From the August Revolution to the new era of development: The country's foundation, potential, position and international prestige".
The workshop is a forum for domestic and international scientists and researchers to look back, evaluate and affirm the historical values and contemporary significance of the August Revolution, and at the same time analyze the 80-year journey of construction and development, and position and prestige of Vietnam in the international arena in the new era.
Time: 07:30 - 12:00, Friday, August 15, 2025.
Location: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi (No. 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi)
The conference will begin with the Opening and Plenary Sessions in Hall E8, taking place from 08:00 to 09:30. The session will be chaired by professors and leading experts from two Universities of Social Sciences and Humanities of two National Universities. In particular, the plenary session will feature important reports from prestigious international scholars.
From 9:45 to 11:45, the workshop will continue with in-depth sessions in 3 sub-committees:
- Subcommittee 1 (Room E302): August Revolution of 1945 in Vietnamese history and international position.
- Subcommittee 2 (Room E307): 80 years of national construction and development (1945-2025).
- Subcommittee 3 (Room E304): Vietnam in the new era of development.Each subcommittee will be a place to gather many unique presentations, multi-dimensional analysis of historical, political, diplomatic and development aspects of Vietnam over the past 80 years and future orientations.
The event is a valuable opportunity for academic exchange, knowledge sharing and research cooperation enhancement. The Organizing Committee cordially invites scientists, researchers, press agencies and interested people to attend.
