Advice: Exam blocks, how to fill out application form and where to submit application form for university admission 2012

Recently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) - Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) has received many questions from candidates such as:

• Does the school not recruit groups A, B, D?
• Does the school only organize entrance exams for block C, while blocks A, B, and D are considered for admission without exams?
• Why do I have to apply for the D block exam to the Oriental Studies major at the University of Foreign Languages?
• The person in charge of collecting documents at my school said, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities only organizes entrance exams for group C, but if I take group A, will I not be able to enter the school?
• …

The above questions arise from the fact that VNU assigns the receiving of applications and organizes exams according to exam groups. Specifically:

• University of Science accepts applications and organizes exams for blocks A, A1, B
• University of Social Sciences and Humanities receives applications and organizes exams for block C
• Foreign Language University accepts applications and organizes exams for groups D1,2,3,4,5,6

However, this is only the assignment of the focal point for receiving applications and organizing exams within VNU, and does not mean that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not organize exams. Therefore, to help candidates understand and declare their exam registration documents correctly, the University provides the following instructions:1.All candidates registering for groups A, B, C, D1,2,3,4,5,6 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities must only fill in information about the registered school in section 2 (section 3 is left blank) and submit their application at high schools or other application collection locations as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training from March 15 to April 16, 2012. The classification of application files by exam group to be sent to the exam organizing units in VNU will be undertaken by the Department of Education and Training or the application collection units as prescribed by the Department of Education and Training.

2.For candidates who want to submit their application directly to the School from April 17 to 5:00 p.m., April 23, 2012, please note the address for submitting the application as follows (the application form is still the same as above):

• For candidates taking group A and B exams: University of Natural Sciences, 334 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi For candidates taking group C exams: University of Social Sciences and Humanities, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi.
• For candidates taking the D1,2,3,4,5,6 block: University of Foreign Languages, Pham Van Dong Street, Cau Giay, Hanoi

3. Other notesThis year, in the application form, candidates must clearly state the name of the major and the major they are applying for. Candidates applying for majors at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities only need to clearly state the name of the major, leaving the “major” section blank. For candidates applying for admission to universities and colleges that do not organize exams at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities,Leave blank the information "major code", "major name", "major" in section 2, but inSection 3Must fully fill in information about school name, principal's symbol, exam block, major code, major name (maybe also major name) of the school not organizing the exam. Note, exam block is listed in section 2 and section 3must be the sameand candidates must submit a photocopy of the front of registration form No. 1 with the application.
