• Does the school only hold entrance exams for Group C subjects, while Groups A, B, and D are based on selection without exams?
• Why do I have to submit my application to the University of Foreign Languages ​​when I'm taking the D-block exam for the Oriental Studies major at the University?
• The woman in charge of collecting applications at my school said, "The University of Social Sciences and Humanities only holds entrance exams for Group C subjects, so if I took the Group A exam, does that mean I'm not allowed to apply to the University?"

Questions like the above arise from the fact that Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) assigns the processing of applications and organizes exams according to exam blocks. Specifically:

• The University of Natural Sciences accepts applications and organizes entrance exams for blocks A, A1, and B.
• The University of Social Sciences and Humanities accepts applications and organizes the entrance exam for Group C subjects.
• The University of Foreign Languages ​​accepts applications and organizes exams for subject groups D1, D2, D3, D4, D5, and D6.

However, this is merely an assignment of responsibilities for receiving applications and organizing exams within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU), and does not mean that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities does not organize exams. Therefore, to help candidates understand and accurately fill out their application forms, the University provides the following instructions:1.All candidates applying for the entrance exam in blocks A, B, C, D1,2,3,4,5,6 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities should only fill in the information about the university they are applying to in section 2 (section 3 should be left blank) and submit their applications at their high school or other designated application collection points as regulated by the Department of Education and Training from March 15th to April 16th, 2012. The classification of applications by exam block for transfer to the examination organizing units within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi will be handled by the Department of Education and Training or the application collection units as regulated by the Department of Education and Training.
